Daniel says he does not feel well

so he is staying home today. I have so many errands to run & this is my only day off until Saturday so the timing is stinky. Poor guy, went back up to bed.

Thanks for all your hugs about TDS. For me that was a good fit for a job. I really liked chatting & helping guests. The hours worked well with the kids school & the other CM's & my manager are wonderful. And the discounts! So I am going to miss it greatly. But as Disney said "Keep moving forward". So I will do that.

Hope you all have a great Wednesday.

A question for you teachers/ex-teachers...............

A form came home with Alyssa today. More like a question/answer thing for her placement next year. The school will not honor specific requests for teachers, but we can request a specific 'style' of teaching. What types of styles of teaching are there? I can write down her strenghts, where she excels, etc., but I'm at a loss as to what to put for teaching style.

That's exactly what you should put. You should also mention what type of personality Alyssa does well with. For example, in 4th grade, Katie had a really laid back type of teacher. She didn't give firm deadlines for homework, and never really held the kids accountable for stuff they didn't get turned in, until grading time. It was horrible for Katie! She needs a teacher with a much firmer hand.

let the principal know what areas Alyssa needs help with and ask for a teacher that is known for teaching that particular subject well.

I hope this helps.

Anyone else waiting for Night at the Museum battle of the Smithsonian?
I saw the first one and liked it now I want to see this one.

Oh yes!!! Jacob came to me last night and asked if he could take me to that movie on a "date." We did that with the first one, and he really wants to do it again. I'm all for one on one time with my little guy before he stops wanting to spend time with me!

I may need Elizabeth to come over and help coordinate my packing efforts :rotfl2:...I just can't seem to get done....and Saturday is getting awfully close!!

In about an hour we have the consultation with the orthopedic surgeon regarding Bill's knees...this is a new guy, so I hope he likes him.

Good luck to Bill! I really hope things work out with the surgeon! That sure helps with any decisions!

Our temperatures dropped last night to the low 30's! It feels like winter again (minus the snow!). I want my nice weather back!!! I was just getting used to putting the baby in the stroller and walking each morning. NOT TODAY!

I guess I'll stay home today and finish up some packing lists, etc.

Make it a great day, everyone!

Awesome, wants some company? :teeth:

Good Morning,
I'm waiting for my granddaughter to arrive, she's spending the day with me today, and it will be our first time with just the two of us.

Kristine, Kelli and Glynis - PACK, PACK, PACK.
Kristine if you are like me and don't mind doing laundry, just wing it.

Glynis how sweet that Jacob wants to take you to the movies. :goodvibes

You people with your lack of commitment to packing just befuddle me. TWELVE DAYS is the MINIMUM number of days prior to departure that you should be FULLY PACKED! :headache:

I hope the consult goes well! :wizard:

Yuck! We will be near 90 today, but it is overcast and humid. :scared:

Elizabeth, do you really have clothes for an entire WDW trip plus enough to wear while waiting those 12 days? I do laundry almost daily, and there is no way that I could ever be packed TWELVE DAYS ahead of a trip. I guess I need more clothes! :rotfl:

Have I told you all that I can't wait until Monday, May 18th?! I've told everyone else, I'm sure. The preparation for the synchro meet is stressing me out (and keeping me way too busy), and then I will be at the pool for most of Friday and all day Sunday. Since Miles' 10th birthday is Saturday, I'm trying to get out of having to be at the pool at all that day. I did get my program to the printer--YAY for that being done!

I called about that position in the school, and she told me that they are still in the process of setting up interviews. We'll see. I really, really want this position, but it's not life or death (or even food on the table at this point). No word from IBM yet or any new rumors that I've heard about the "impending" personnel cuts. I'd much rather he keep his job than me be offered this one if I had to make a choice.

I need to take a shower and head to the printer to check out a sample. I'll try to sneak in a few minutes later to catch up with all of you.

Have a great day, DDA!

Good Morning,

I'm waiting for my granddaughter to arrive, she's spending the day with me today, and it will be our first time with just the two of us.

:goodvibes:love::goodvibes

I'm home from the dentist. The entire right side of my face is numb (or maybe just entirely missing since I can't feel it :rotfl:) The dentist only gave me 1/2 the normal dosage of novacaine and I'm numb clear up to my eye. At least that is over with and I have 6 more months until I have to go again  The kids get out of school at Noon so I guess I'll pick them up as a treat. They really hate the bus.

Good Morning all!!

I have cupcakes to bake and the living room to clean and a job to find....anybody wanna come help with any of it??:lmao:

Princess needs a bath. I am completely stressed out. So there you have it!

Hope today goes better! I'm glad no one was hurt by the branch.

Does he have pain from this Janet? I so hope the doctors can do something for him. :wizard:

Good luck at the appt, Janet.

We are. We really liked the first one too and I'd love to see all of the Smithsonian aspects.

Thanks Tammi. They get out 6/26 so thats our moving day. I am looking forward to it...the only thing I will miss about where I currently live is the beach.

Love it!!!!!!

Yes, we are! We are taking some of Daniels friends out to see this for his 10th birthday.

:hug::hug::hug:for everyone!

It's getting so close! Good luck on getting everything ready and moving smoothly. I'm sorry that you weren't able to transfer to another DS.

I don't have enough clothes to last 12 days, I don't think, let alone be packed 12 days early.

I'll bake the cupcakes! I've got a playroom to clean myself so I don't think I'll be much help there. ;)
