I officially handed in my notice at work today.

Transfer did not work as the nc store is full & I wouldn't be able to make the 10-2 shift like I do now since that mall is so far from the house & the kids school.

I am so not happy.

Thanks Tammi. They get out 6/26 so thats our moving day. I am looking forward to it...the only thing I will miss about where I currently live is the beach.

I'm not an ex teacher, but I have a few ideas. Some teachers are more nurturing than others, Nick needs that style. There are also teachers that have more structure as to expectations, following a daily routine vs changing things up daily. Discipline will vary by teacher. Some are yellers, others give more time outs, others have little discipline at all. There are a lot of variables, but you probably know which things Alyssa will react positively to

Daniel says he does not feel well

so he is staying home today. I have so many errands to run & this is my only day off until Saturday so the timing is stinky. Poor guy, went back up to bed.

Thanks for all your hugs about TDS. For me that was a good fit for a job. I really liked chatting & helping guests. The hours worked well with the kids school & the other CM's & my manager are wonderful. And the discounts! So I am going to miss it greatly. But as Disney said "Keep moving forward". So I will do that.

A question for you teachers/ex-teachers...............

A form came home with Alyssa today. More like a question/answer thing for her placement next year. The school will not honor specific requests for teachers, but we can request a specific 'style' of teaching. What types of styles of teaching are there? I can write down her strenghts, where she excels, etc., but I'm at a loss as to what to put for teaching style.

DS has to have a lot of structure and very clear directions. He also has to have things in writing, or he has to be allowed to write down what is said. We are having issues with a teacher who won't let the kids write while she talks. Hello? He won't remember what you said when you stop talking! Obviously she is younger so those things won't be exactly what you are looking for, but they are things to consider.

Thanks! My day wasn't bad, I just didn't get ANYTHING done, and that gives me stress. Hopefully I can knock everything out while Princess is at school today.
