Yeah but he looks even more comfortable then Nick.

And read again, I said a little daddy not a new daddy. ;)

Deb - Sky is a beautiful baby and the boys look so grown up!

Good Morning DDA!

Thanks for all the comments on Leighanna's picture!

Anne Marie, great pictures of Sophie!

Amy, adorable pictures as always! Alyssa is looking so grown up! Where has the time gone! Of course I feel that way with Leighanna too!

Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers for Angie.
We don't have all the results yet, hopefully will know more next Monday. But the doctor couldn't find a leakage in an area of Angie's heart that he saw on a previous echo, so I consider that miraculous! No comment though on the other area of concern, I guess we will find out more on Monday.

Deb,
Nice pictures of the boys with the new baby.:goodvibes
Sounds like a rough time at the aquatic center. I hope they get more staff soon.

Tom,
More good thoughts for Angie.:wizard:

Cold & rainy Tuesday morning.... Thankfully the weather is supposed to be nice for Sophie's party this weekend.

We decided on stainless steel appliances for the new place (I am sure you were all on pins & needles waiting to hear about that!:rotfl2:)

The cabinets are in great condition so those will be painted white & new drawer pulls will be put on. I chose that particular stove because it has 5 burners on top & the ones to the left look like a hidden Mickey!:rotfl:;)

Looks like you still can't cook though Anne Marie...I can't see the microwave!

ETA: I love all the plugs in the wall!!! I think I only have 2 sets in my kitchen...

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: Ah you know me too well!!!!

They tried to install a microwave over the stove but they could not so we have to get a countertop one which I think will go by the fridge so you don't see it as much.

And no, I did not cook last week (I was on vacation!). :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:

How are you doing???

Deb-those boys look very comfortable with the baby (who is absolutely precious:goodvibes) I am sorry your stress-free job is not so stress-free!!

Tom-that is absolutely wonderful news to start with for Angie!! Now for the rest to be as good.

Anne Marie-beautiful kitchen....maybe you will cook someting in it??:confused3:rotfl:

Nicholas and I were talking last night while Alyssa was in ballet class. He started out by asking me about colleges. I think this was brought up because his friend's older brother was touring VA Tech, and they must have been talking about it. So he was asking about which universities are in VA and what would be a good college to go to to be a police officer. Then that morphed into a discussion about how what his ideas for a career will change over the years, as he grows and is exposed to different/more things in school. He proceeds to tell me that he has his life planned out, except for the person he will marry. He wants to go to college, move south to Florida so he is closer to WDW, be a police officer, get married, have 2 kids (a boy and a girl), he's not sure what he will name the boy, but he will let his wife pick the name for the girl. I teasingly asked why he doesn't know who he will marry, and he said he's keeping the options open, but if he had to choose now he would choose Bailey. I asked if she knew this and he said no. Then I told him that we should just keep that to ourselves. ;) :rotfl:

Is this normal for them to start mapping out their future, or even thinking about it, at this age? Or is my kid a strange one?

I think it is perfectly normal for some kids to do this! That being said, I think all that has transpired in his life has influenced his thinking. I want to delightedly point out that his "future" maps yours pretty closely. I like the influence I see here! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Anne Marie - I like the looks of your new kitchen and the plans you have for it too!

Chanon - Have I missed the explanation for your DL ticker? I assumed it was for work.

Thought this might be important for some of you:

It has always been a rule on the DIS that anything involving money changing hands between members was not permitted on the boards. With that in mind, a decision has been made to end all swaps and shares that include money passing between DISers.

What does this mean?

  • [*]Beginning today, all Photopass shares are over on the DIS. No new Photopass shares can be started.

[*]Threads for existing Photopass shares will be locked on Friday of this week. Any new threads will be deleted beginning today.

[*]Fridge and stroller swaps that are free can continue. However, if a refrigerator/stroller is lost or damaged, the swap leader cannot collect money from members to replace the lost/damaged item. Swaps may continue if an item is donated for the use of subsequent share members.

[*]No new fridge or stroller swaps will be permitted to start unless the fridge/stroller is a donated item and the swap is free to all participants.

[*]Any fridge or stroller swap that is not free to new members will be closed on Friday of this week. This will allow those leaders of swaps that are currently collecting money to decide whether they are willing/able to offer their swap for free. On Friday, any swap threads that are not free will be locked and their links will be removed from the sticky threads.

If there are questions or concerns, I'll be around most of the day to address them. Send me a PM or post it here.

It is quite normal to map out their future....or it is in my house.:rotfl:

Elin is right we often map with what has happened in our life.

Cassidy has always been a mapper and scrapper, i.e. she maps it out and then scraps it and starts over. She decided freshman year she would be Drum Major and it looks like she will be (Thursday is the audition process). She decided in 6th grade she wanted to do IB....then freshman year scrapped that and Drum Major came into play.

Abi is less of a mapper out loud....but her map seems to have been in place since birth. She will work with animals, she just hasn't figured out how just yet.
