Tammi - It's nice to see you around. Don't apologize for not posting. We all need to take a break, now and then. We are here for you whenever you need us!

Paula - Good to hear from you! Sounds like the Oprah thing was a blast. Good luck to Ellie!

Deb - I hope Colby's illness was a fluke, and that he's all better now.

We had a really rough night last night. Timothy slept for maybe one hour total! He spent the rest of the time screaming. Poor little guy! I tried to feed him, but he kept throwing up, and I mean projectile! I had to change the bed several times. I'm not sure what the problem was, no fever, etc., but whatever it was it really made for a HORRIBLE night. I gave him some Tylenol this morning so that he (and I) could sleep. He's napping now, but I'm not sure how long that will last.

Sorry it has been so long. I need to give you the lowdown on our lives.
We went to the Oprah auditions and Ellie had a great time. We drove right after school and made it there by just before 10 pm. The hotel didn’t have our reservation, but I had the printout saying we had one. So that was fixed.
Got the girls ready for bed and the stinkers would not sleep. They wouldn’t sleep and kept waking up.

Ellie and I got up at 6 to ensure we had enough time to curl her hair a bit and walk a few blocks to the audition. We got in line at 7:30 and had about 50 people in front of us. They started registration late by a half hour. We had her 90-second (they timed it) audition and got back to our room by 9:45. We had breakfast and got on the road to come home.

The next day I went to work at the base for the day and my mom hung out with the girls.

Then Monday comes and Bethie threw up during dance class. Oh the fun. She kept that up all night.
I kept her home from school Tue, but then I get a call to pick up Ellie because she lost it during computer class. GREAT! Two kids sick and I have no clue why. So she stays home Wed. GUES WHAT? I got it Wed. Oh the fun never ends.

Thurs and Friday was catch up days and then I worked again this past weekend at the base. It has been one ever so long two weeks.

I have no idea when we will hear from Oprah or if we will at this point, they had 700 kids show up that day. So we are happy we went and she had a great time.
Oh, she met this “rocker” guitar player boy who she thought was all that and a bag of chips. It was so cute to see her blush next to him. And then she says to me, it’s hard being a Rock Star mom. I almost fell over it was so cute and funny.

Off to Easter parties at the school and then we have break next week.

Thank you everyone for your PD and prayers for Ellie.

I'm sure that you guys had a touch of the virus that has plagued us all. Hopefully it won't come back. I hope you have some down time soon.

That it has passed. Try to take a nap either when the baby is sleeping or when Alan can help with him


Colby woke up fine and dandy and stayed at school all day I guess something didn't agree with him

I'm bored. I have tonight off No work, no lacrosse, no errands. I thought about taking the kids swimming, but Hunter is complaining of another tummy ache and they haven't cleaned their rooms. Maybe they can clean tonight

I am thinking about getting a laptop. WAY too many choices! So confusing!

Anyone have any thoughts on Dell?

I'm leaning towards a 13" so it will be easy to travel with. I want to be able to backup photos while traveling. Would be nice to have the DVD player too. Then I was hoping to get a few years out it for the kids too.

I still haven't convinced myself that I really need it though.

DS was supposed to have band practice today. School got out at 3:30. He called at 3:43 to tell me he was standing out in front of the school because there is no band today. Princess is asleep. Luckily DH was finished working, so I called him and told him to go get DS. If DS would have had to wait for me to get Princess and drive over there he would have been sitting out there for awhile!

Bernadette I have a 15 inch screen and really like it. Mine is an HP and it has had it's share of problems, but I think any laptop does. Overall I'm happy with it. I don't think I'd go with a smaller one as it is nice to view photos bigger and have the font bigger, ease of reading. Travelling with mine has not been difficult at all.

I could not live without a laptop. Well I could but you get the point. I use it way more often then my desktop. I sometimes go months without using my desktop at home that I built.

I have used sizes between 13.1 inch and 17 inch. I currently have the 13.1 inch and love it. It is so much easier to travel with. Is not nearly as heavy. I think it weighs about 5-6 pounds with the battery. My first laptop weigher 11 pounds. Plus when you get larger screens and higher resolution the text is smaller.

I have used pretty much every brand out there and had some sort of issue with all of them. So I am not going to recommend a brand. My next laptop will probably be a Macbook. Jut try out what you are looking into buying and look at online reviews. Make sure the power cord is thicker and be super careful with them. I always seem to destroy the cord.

Josh picked steak (we had 4 in the freezer). So I did baked potatoes, corn and salad. I also couldn't let the boy go without a birthday dessert so I made brownies too.

I get the chance to post at night and everybody is still missing....I promise I showered (today even)
It was wonderful to be able to have the sliding door open all day and the heater off.
I have been doing laundry for about 12 hours now and am almost finally done!!

I am going to walk down to my friend's house tomorrow....as an escape...I've been making myself a recluse and I chose last week to take steps to not be. I think I have been keeping myself from this friend because she won't take any bull about my being fine and will want to know all the gory details...I wasn't ready before to give them.

Sounds like you had a good night. I wish it was warm enough to have the heater off it was flurrying today. It is about 34 degrees outside right now. I think winter came back.

Try to have fun tomorrow at your friends. Just remember she is trying to help, although to you it may not seem like the best way to help or the way you would like things to be.
