Please, have at it. I just keep hoping that when he comes to pick them up on Friday and they are crying because they don't want to go that he suddenly grows a heart and lets them stay.

So I spent a lovely 2 1/2 hours at the doctors office with Lucy today. 4 temper tantrums later, 1 that lasted for 30 minutes, we are home and she is napping after scarfing down lunch. Her ear infection still has not cleared and she has bronchitis as well.

Wow your ex is being very cold hearted.

Hello, DDA! I've started several messages over the past couple of days, and for one reason or another have had to quit before sending them. Last night's reason was because the drain in the basement was clogged, and I had an entire washing machine's worth of water all over the floor. Fortunately, throwing $125 at it fixed the problem.

I'll see how much I can remember...

Becky, I hope that your father heals quickly! :wizard:

Jennifer, I hope that both your girls are 100% healthy soon! Special pixiedust: for Avery! That is such a hard decision to make, but you will do fine.

Deb, pixiedust: that illness leaves your household soon, too!

Anne Marie, :lovestruc for the flowers! And :scared1: :sad2: :sad1: for the camera. Someone else gets flowers "just because"...I think it's Heidi, but I'll have to go look at tags to be sure.

Tammi, :woohoo: that Alyssa is feeling better. I am glad that you get to see your mom. I am so sorry that your ex-h is an unmentionable, and pixiedust: that karma bites him.

Theresa, I had a dream about you the night before last. For some reason, I ended up on your doorstep without any notice. You and your family were very welcoming, but I felt horrible that I just showed up like that. Apparently, I also had an old convertible that I was driving in, because I needed to put a tarp over it when the rain started. Roof didn't work, I guess. Who knows!? I would love to visit with you again someday, but I'll make sure I give proper notice.

Kristine, I HATE carpenter ants. We had quite a row with them a couple of years ago, and I still have nightmares sometimes. Especially about that horrendous chewing noise they make. We had good luck with a professional using a gel bait finally. I would also have freaked out about being covered in poison dust. I hope you feel better after a good long shower.

Elizabeth, :wizard: for you mother actually spending time with your ds tomorrow! I really hope that they can have a great day together. I'm sorry about your Diva troubles. I wanted to be a doctor, too, but my problems were reconciling that job with SAHM (and organic chemistry). Also, I'm plain lazy.

Robyn, pixiedust: that Lucy feels better soon. for you!

Stephanie, I hope you are having a wonderful trip!

Glynis, I loved the family pictures! Timothy is absolutely adorable, and Katie is beautiful.

Heidi, I really enjoyed all your Disney photos.

I'm sure there is more that I have forgotten along the way.

Some people have said they had better luck stating the location and meal (B, L, or D) and letting the CM tell them what time comes up. If you request a specific time apparently the system decides where you will go based on the time you request, if the time you ask for is unavailable at the location you specify.

This is how I've always done it. I do think that the new system is screwy, though. I think that it should show alternate times at the chosen restaurant first and then offer other restaurant suggestions if there is nothing available. Certainly, a different restaurant should not be booked without explicit approval. And substituting a restaurant in an entirely different area is completely crazy!

I usually tell them date, meal, location, and approximate time. The only exception to that is the 8:05 seating at CP, because I don't want anything later than that. It HAS TO BE the 8:05 slot. Of course there was one day when they didn't even start checking people in until about 8:15 AM and we still made it out in time for rope drop, but if we had a later ADR then we might not have made it out in time.

I have always hated giving the girls antibiotics (any meds in general actually) and after Abi was a bit older the antibiotic resistant bugs started getting the major news I felt better about it.

It does help that my girls have always been very healthy.

We try to stay away from meds here, too. (Though there are times when I feel like I couldn't survive without Ibuprofen.)

When Laura was little, she spent entire winters with ear infection after ear infection, and they always put her on antibiotics. I finally did research on my own and found that new studies showed they weren't indicated. I had one ped in the practice on my side. We used tylenol and decongestants to help relieve the symptoms, and he watched for complications. She didn't have fewer infections without the antibiotics, but she didn't have more or longer duration either. Fortunately, she has pretty much outgrown them, but her ears do start to hurt with any cold or congestion. There is one witch of a ped in that group who I will refuse to see to this day.

So I spent a lovely 2 1/2 hours at the doctors office with Lucy today. 4 temper tantrums later, 1 that lasted for 30 minutes, we are home and she is napping after scarfing down lunch. Her ear infection still has not cleared and she has bronchitis as well.

I was hoping there would be an update on Avery. I'm betting since we haven't heard anything that they went to the hospital. :wizard:
