DDA Chapter 18

Sounds like it was said in a fit of jealousy. You know the truth of the matter, and it doesn't matter if she knows it or not. Try not to let it bother you too much. :wizard:

I agree, Tammi. What a foolish thing for anyone to say, especially someone who hasn't got a clue what your life is like!

Bernadette - I agree that the woman sounds very jealous. Of course the time for a snappy comeback would have been as soon as she said it, but that rarely happens in real life.
If you still want to address it with her, you could say "You know, I have been thinking about the comment you made about me being a trust fund baby and I have to tell you it was completely insensitive. You know nothing about my upbringing, and you have no business commenting about it."

You've got the jealousy part right. She's an odd one for sure. I just can't decide if I was a weak for letting her get away with it or smart for not making a nasty scene. OH and I'm pissed off about it too. PLUS....some really stupid work related stuff was going on this week too and I have this stupid head cold and feel like crap. I am SO excited for a 3 day weekend!

I don't think we will ever stay there again. I should say you couldn't pay my wife enough money to ever set foot there again. The resort was nice enough, but what we found in our room on our last day as we were packing up, sickened us to the point that we will never stay there again.
All I can say is that housekeeping is VERY poor, and our room was not properly cleaned prior to us getting there. Actually, during our whole stay, we felt the room was not properly cleaned. We didn't complain though, because usually we were so tired from a long day at the parks, all we wanted to do was lay down and crash. Unfortunately, we didn't discover how true that was until our last day there.

Does anyone know who or where I would write to. We really need to voice our complaint to someone other than who we did. They did nothing, but apologize and send us on our way. They even stated that POP was rated the number 2 resort in the country and number 4 in the world. I found that hard to believe considering all the other resorts that are out there, Disney or not!

If anyone is curious about what I am referring to you can PM me. I don't want to hurt any of the POP lovers out there!
I'm so sorry you had a nasty experience. You wouldn't hurt my feelings-I believe good and bad can happen anywhere so I don't think nothing bad can happen at Pop just because I like it there. Telling you how wonderful they are is really insulting.

I used this email when I had the problem at POFQ

wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com

I loved the pictures from both Tom and Jennifer tonight. Bob and Kristin I looked at all your little ones and really smiled a lot. Thanks!

Very nicely said!

Would you like to write a letter for me?:rolleyes1

We loved POP, but bad housekeeping is bad housekeeping no matter where you stay. I have stayed at some rather pricey hotels and had poor housekeeping and stayed at some cheap hotels and the rooms were incredibly clean.
A friend just stayed at Poly a couple months ago and feels the same way about there. Said something happened with housekeeping was so gross and horrible that she wouldn't even tell us. Said she complained to management and got the same thing you did.
Wonder if it was the same housekeeper and management just moved them?

And then we go June 21 to 28!

You notice there is no ticker yet. We are trying to work out all the logistics including getting Kathrin down to either the Richmond or Norfolk/Newport News airport so we can pick her up and return her at the end of the week.

She said I must be a trust fund baby to be able to afford all my WDW trips. Dumping on me because I go to WDW is one thing but the trust fund baby thing is really insulting. My Dad died when I was 6. I got a paper route when I was 11 and started working at 14. DH & I have made lots of frugal choices-we don't go out to eat, rarely get take out, don't drink much (I probably bought my 2nd 6 pack tonight in about 3 or 4 years), don't smoke, don't have too many fancy toys (uh....Nikon and sewing machine are new vices....).....anyways the trust fund thing implies I've never worked for anything, don't appreciate what I have or others that don't have. It really touched a nerve with me. I didn't go to the cafeteria for lunch today. Maybe I'll skip tomorrow too and Monday is a holiday.

This is just me, but I would not have been able to keep my mouth closed. She had no right saying that to you & I am sorry you have to deal with someone like this at work. Hope tomorrow is better for you & I hope this twit stays out of your way!

She didn't just say it once-at least 10 times over the lunch hour. She's very good friends with my boss's secretary who was present so I could say something to her but I don't think its right to get her in the middle. I think I'll just do the avoidance thing for tomorrow and hopefully she'll move onto something else next week.

You're welcome. I hope they respond appropriately to your complaint!

I carry that info with me, as well as the chain of command at the resort in case I need it. ;)
I still have the phone number of the WDW executive offices in my cell since the POFQ thing.

And now that I am all caught up I am going to watch the rest of "Ace of Cakes" and go to bed. See you all in the morning. :wave2:

You make her sound like a library book! :rotfl2:
I hope you can get the logistics all worked out! :wizard:

Bernadette, WOW! she is REALLY rude! There was no reason to say it once, let alone say it multiple times. Maybe avoiding/ignoring her would be best.

If she doesn't let it go I would certainly say something next week, Bernadette. She does NOT know you or your circumstances and she is totally out of line to make comments concerning your life that have absolutely nothing to do with her.

Now you have me curious about POFQ! :scratchin

Tom love the pictures so far, Leighanna looks so happy!

Sorry your stay at Pop was not a good experience.
