Yeah, I'm not expecting instant results, but I definitely don't want to see this transform into a much bigger problem. I hardly even witness when he hits Alyssa, because it usually happens when they are playing in her room, where I'm sure she's being quite bossy about HER toys. Of course, she tattles on him, but he's always honest ("Mommy I hit Alyssa two times...once on her arm and once on her head."). I will have to work on my own speed...he managed to make contact with me two times this weekend. Thanks again!
You will want to make sure that Alyssa isn't egging him on as well. I hate to admit this but I knew how to push my little brother's buttons. I knew exactly what to say that would get him to swing at me so I could get him in trouble. I barely remember this but mom remembers it clearly (because she finally caught me). However, even after he got older, if I really wanted to I could still get him going with my words. We were probably 4 & 6 or 5 & 7. He's about 1-1/2 years younger than me. Matty still shouldn't be hitting but you'll want to monitor to make sure that Alyssa isn't making the matter worse.
