DDA Chapter 15

Since I don't have any pictures of the partially decorated tree yet, here are a few of the acquisition.

It was COLD here on Saturday, though not as cold as yesterday or today. I think I'm almost ready for an artificial tree (but the kids sure aren't). This year's tree looked nice outside, but it's so crooked! I do'nt know how we didn't notice that...probably shivering too hard to tell. No one will be referring to our tree as elegant, but we like it just the same.

I love this picture, Beth. It brings back great memories of going to cut down trees when we were younger. Once we started traveling over the holidays it made no sense to leave a real tree in the house to dry out and we went to artificial trees. I miss the smell so much I bought a bough of evergreens and hung it on the inside of our front door so I can smell that wonderful smell!

I can't wait to see the pictures of your tree when it is done. I bet it will be gorgeous.

We have always had an artificial tree as my mom and I are allergic to the real ones.

Ok I got the 3 DS games for the kids. I also got 2 more Wii games. Toys R Us was mobbed & out of everything. I was the 22nd person on line! One employee was kind enough to go in the back & find 3 Club Penguins for me. She also found the study/game guide for Clone Wars too. Anyway I went over to the store manager to tell her how great "Linda" was.

I got my mothers gift, & Dana's step fathers too. Stocking stuffers & candy picked up as well.

Shhhh..don't tell Dana but I got him a handsome beer stein in Germany when I was in Epcot. He always walks through the gift shop & picks up every stein. I say "just get one" & he says "no they are too much money". He is going to be so surprised! I wanted to give it to him when I got in yesterday but I am waiting til Christmas.

You all know about the Disney Movie Reward promotion that Disney has been doing? Well I don't buy a lot of Disney movies and actually have started replacing the ones I do have with DVD. I finally got enough points to get a reward and it came today.

First the box, just because I thought it was cool. Please ignore the other stuff on the table.

Beth-love the "getting" pictures. I've only had a "real" tree I think 3 times in my life. My aunt got us one when I was a kid, Cassidy won one when she was little and....oops I think it's only twice

Heidi-that is one cool reward....I've gotta figure out which dvd's I need to put in the #'s for....I know I've missed some of them.

Glynis- for Timothy being such a great baby. Yesterday was the first day I'd spent any length of time with Brenden and I couldn't get over how noisy he was. I have never in my life heard such a small person make so much noise!!!

Hi, everyone,

Just a quick pop-in, as that seems to be all I have time for these days. I think one of my New Year's resolutions is going to be to spend more time with the DDA!

Elizabeth and Marci were kind enough to fill me in on the going's on of the DDA - it was great to see them on Saturday. I think our "lunch" turned into 3 hours!

Glynis - welcome to your beautiful baby boy! I'm so glad all went well, and that you guys are settling in okay.

Tom - Happy Anniversary!

Welcome home to those just back from the World! I leave in 3 days scared1: ) - anything going on out of the ordinary that I should be aware of?

I looked back over just the past few pages, and enjoyed seeing everyone's trees. My house is FINALLY decorated, and the tree has lights on it. After our church group tonight, I'm hoping to begin decorating it - although I might try to get a handle on what clothes I need to take to FL first, as that's somewhat giving me heart palpitations.

And of course, I was given a big project at work that needs to be completed before I leave.

here's a picture of our tree...

for the first time in my ENTIRE life...I have a fake tree. (My father, RIP, is probably in shock) I am still feeling a little twitchy about it. The kids were quite unhappy about it. I am hoping the lack of mess makes up for it!!

We are talking about a fake tree but I just can't do it yet. If I find the right fake blue spruce, I may get one someday.

So I stopped to the Disney's Doorway to Dreams store to get my DVC ornament....not sure if I like the design this year.

They are so chintzy there....1 to a household. At WDW, you get 1 per person.
