I was wondering that about Airtran too, Elin, because my flight is lower now as well. I would save about $125.

I'm glad to see that the Steelers beat the Redskins!

Am I right that if AirTran's fares go down I have to pay the $75 change fee to get the lower fare?

According to policy, yes. According to lots of anecdotes on the DIS (including my own, and I believe Jen (blueeyes) recently as well), no. Just call or even use the 'contact us' link on the website (that's where I usually start, that way I have written indication that they said they'd change it). Now, when I've done it it's been because my times changed so it was their "fault". I distinctly remember though, at least I think I do (:rotfl: ) that Jen got it changed without that being true, because I was very impressed. Good luck!
Jennifer, youre right..i saw that it was cheaper onine and i just called the number and asked if they gave credit if a flight has a lower fare than i paid. I ended up saving almost 100.00. I put that towards a change fee to get on a different flight, but thatw as just what i needed to do. I was definitely able to get a credit for the difference

yay steelers!

Good Morning DDA!

I just got back from voting. What a mad house!
I arrived 15 mins. before the polls even opened and was number 55 in line.

At least they divide into several different wards, so I was only in the actual line for about 15 mins.
Talk about disorganized! Yeesh! I am glad that I am not a poll worker today! I am sure that they will get plenty of complaints!

I also got a $15 "coupon" in my email today. But I think I will just email them and ask the question about the fare change. I will let you know what I find out. I would save $50 just on one leg of the trip.

Me too! I got there at 6:10am and was 10th in line. Left at 6:50am.

I have emailed them since the flight is in Kathrin's name. Of course I used my credit card so I guess I could call them and say I was her! :rotfl:

I am waiting for Kristin to get up again. She has wakened three times during the night because she is so excited to
voting-emoticon.gif

She has to be at work at 9:30 so we are hoping that our decision to go after the early morning rush was the right one. If not, I will go back and get her over her lunch hour and try, try again.

The kids' doctor appts went very well today. This was their first real appt. with their new pediatrician. They both had blood work done, to include cholesterol. She listened to my concerns with Nicholas' asthma diagnosis from the clinic doctor. Based on the history that I gave her she wants him to go to the asthma & allergy doctor, which happens to be the same one I see. She wants him to have a pulmonary function test, as well as be tested for allergies. So tomorrow I will call for that and see when I can get him in.

Good luck with the testing! :wizard:

This is my mantra this morning:

I love my dog, she can't tell time... I love my dog, she can't tell time... I love my dog, she can't tell time... I love my dog, she can't tell time... I love my dog, she can't tell time... :rolleyes2

Sorry!

I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of that today. Yikes! :scared: I am so glad I voted early!

I got one of those, too!

I didn't get a reply from either teacher that I e-mailed yesterday. Guess we'll just sit tight with that.

We have cooking class today. Wonder what sort of issues Shallow Mom will have?

 It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who still thinks of calling Mom, it was seven years October 5th. One night not long after Mom passed I had what I think was a dream but I'm not sure if I was awake or asleep.
I felt a presence in the room, and saw a kind of glow, I asked if it was mom and it "touched" me letting me know it was. I asked if she was ok and was she with her sister and again it touched me as if to say yes, I really felt that she came to let me know she was ok. I don't tell many people about this as I'm afraid they would think I had "lost" it, guess it's out there now.

You haven't lost it, Debbie! I definitely think that our loved ones watch over us. It gives me great comfort!

I remember that right after the twins were born, Alan took the older kids somewhere so I could "rest." Unfortunately, they both wanted to be fed. I never mastered nursing 2 at a time, so I was feeding Mary and Leslie was screaming. I remember just saying, "someone, please help me!" All of a sudden, Leslie stopped crying, just like that! I looked at her and she was focusing on something (or someone) in the corner of the room. I got the impression that Alan's dad (who had died 3 years earlier) was taking care of her for me.

Good morning! I've got to get Alan out of bed so he can go vote before work. If he doesn't get it done then, he won't be able to vote at all. Being in the news business, this is the busiest day!!!! He'll be at work from 7:30 a.m. until about 2:00 tomorrow morning. No lunch or dinner break, but since he's covering election results, he'll get to eat at one of the parties.

I'll go vote as soon as I get the kids out the door. Since it's raining cats and dogs here now, I'll probably drive them to school instead of having them stand out in the rain, waiting for the bus. The polling location is at the jr. high, just down the street from their school, so it should work out!

I took Leighanna to school and spoke with her teacher this morning. Leighanna has tested well enough that her teacher is recommending Leighanna to start the "accelerated learning" or gifted program. (I think that is what she called it. )
Hopefully this will also help her not to be so talkative in class too. Leighanna always finishes her assignments earlier than most of the others, and gets bored and starts to act up.
I am proud of her for doing so well. I just hope that she can handle the extra work, and that she continues to do well in her studies.

Angie just got back from voting. She had to wait almost an hour from start to finish. At least she got it done, and shouldn't be too late for work!

Time for me to get to bed. School lets out too soon for me!

Have a great day!:goodvibes

Tom, I remember going through the same process. The only time I ever got in trouble was for the same reason -- finishing early and being bored. I think (hope) you'll find the extra work is just what she needs to keep her motivated, and not the opposite. And if it's anything like it used to be, the "gifted program" offers a lot of REALLY cool activities! :thumbsup2
