DDA Chapter 13

Over the weekend we heard about a 12-year-old boy who was killed in a car crash. Turns out he went to DS's school. :sad2:
He was in a car with 2 teenagers, not wearing a seatbelt, going 70-80 mph. down a street (NOT on the highway). They crashed into another car. This happened late Saturday night - as in, late enough that a 12-year-old had no business being out. Sad. He was the only fatality.

oh dear. :guilty:

Tom the skirts look wonderful!

Beth I hope the Dr figures out what is causing the pain for your dad

Elizabeth how sad about the 12 year old :sad1:

DS says the name sounds familiar, but he doesn't think he knew the boy. The note from the school says he was in 6th grade, so unless he went to the same elementary as DS they probably didn't know each other.

None of the kids at my school died when we were in middle school, but several of them died in high school. One in a car accident, one was a suicide, and one (one of my dear friends) died in a scuba accident. Those were kids I went to middle school with, but I moved before we got to high school.
A couple from my high school were killed my senior year. They were driving around handing out wedding invitations, in broad daylight if I remember correctly. I didn't know either one of them, but I went to the funeral out of respect for their families.

I finished up the patchwork skirts for the latest MAW Big Give. I also made a handbag for the Mom so that she can match her little ones too.

Oh my gosh, those are absolutely GLORIOUS! And I love the matching handbag! You are so generous, that family is going to go nuts! :goodvibes:

Yes, it's short but not near as bad as I thought it'd be. The funniest thing was she asked me to put it in a bun for ballet. Nope, not gonna happen. Then Eric told her she looked like a boy and she cried and cried.

Aww, poor Mo! (or not, given the circumstances... but a little bit!)

I personally think it's adorable!

I think it's adorable and she doesn't look like a boy. But she is going to miss the bun I think.

First things first,

It's A Girl :cloud9:

She gave us several "booty" shots so there is no doubt, now I can start shopping.
