I'm home! :goodvibes
Welcome home!

Bernadette - Maybe you shouldn't be so concerned quite yet. It sounds like Emma isn't. :wizard: that she finds someone to pal around with.
Thanks! She loves school-especially the bunny Chester in her class but she tells me nearly everyday that she doesn't have any friends in class. It is hard not to feel sad for her.

We did! And, eventually I will be able to tell you all about it. But for now, here is a picture that CA Grill took of us Saturday evening during our dinner there. They were delighted to have us celebrate with them and came to our window table just after Wishes and took this to email to us.

Great photo! Can't wait to go back to CG in Jan and May!

My mom called me today to let me know her chemo went OK. They reduced the amount of Benedryl (which apparently was making her legs ache) and they eliminated the Ativan (which I think was completely unnecessary, but I guess they added it thinking the episode where she couldn't breathe was an anxiety attack) so she was feeling much better after today's infusion. 3 down, 9 to go. She isn't quite sure what they will do next week. They might give her another Taxol infusion, or they might give her a Neulasta injection and have her take a week off from chemo so she doesn't get too run down.

DH is doing OK so far. He just finished his 2nd liter of solution, now he is supposed to drink 32 oz. of water before bed. Not that he will be able to sleep, because he will be on the potty all night!

I took DS to Chick-Fil-A for dinner so we wouldn't be eating in front of DH.

Poor DS is really sad. He feels like he is in trouble and being singled out for being who he is. Like he is a bad person and he is somehow deficient because he is not as mature as some of the other boys. I hope the discussion today was enough to get him moving in the right direction, but I know for a fact that there are plenty of times that I tell him to settle down and STOP being so silly and he doesn't stop.
Sounds like your Mom is doing OK. Hope your day isn't too bad tomorrow. Will you get any sleep tonight?

I'm so sorry for your DS.

Bernadette  for Emma. Glad work went better than you had expected today!
Thanks! I should go to bed-need to get to work early. I found out today our review with the President is 10/20 so maybe this will be wrapped up sooner than I thought....but I do know that the VP of Fininance will just come up with more questions up until the Board of Directors meeting in November.

Our first "wedding" present! From my mom's cousin who is also singing at the wedding.

Beautiful! I assume she made it for you.

...and our finished door magnets! Not the best, but I think they're fun!

Those are really cool!!!!

Loved these. I have to admit that I was trying to figure out why you had a license plate that read "R(obert) Hiney Man" :rotfl2:
You guys are too funny! I think my favorite is the Jack Sparrow one. Found that quote on IMDB.com and the "arrr" just came to me when I was typing it. I'm cheezy I know. :teeth:

Where's my laminator when I need it?! :headache: :teeth:

What store would have a laminator?
Staples can do it for you. Sounds like something your Mom could do. I think it about $1/sheet for Staples to do it.

I love that one too!

So, Hal and I are going with the kids and grandkids to a local Polo match tomorrow.

Lets just say it will be a bit nostalgic. I am giving away one of my secrets. :lmao:

Way, way back in 1971 we went to one in Hawaii. It started out really nice, good eats, good drink, good times. Then a thing called Boone's Farm Apple Wine happened and right about the time that half-time started, I do not remember what else happened. Yes, since I was only 21 years old and not a drinker at that time, I got a little plastered and do not remember helping to replace the divots or anything after that. I asked Hal if I got stupid or something like that, and he replied, -----Not sure cause I really do not remember much either. :lmao:
Ah yes, youth,,,,,,,

ahhhhhhhhhhh... I remember it well! Actually it was quite good with Welsh Rarebit!

The girls seemed to enjoy it.

How about you and Jeff??

I don't know whether or not I already posted this, but our dinner at CA Grill was not over unti lafter 11:00 so I never made it over to MK Saturday night. In fact, I never saw Spectro at all this trip. I am so sorry we didn't get a chance to meet. :(

Thanks, Bernadette. We are glad we went back. They restored our faith in them. But it was not our best dinner of the trip.

it was okay, the buses were horrible, then worried about the girls fevers.

were they sick the whole time??? poor little things. and poor Mom and Dad. We never set foot on a bus this trip. I am sorry you had bad service.

I will come back in a bit...I am trying to catch up. BUT....

I HAD A FABULOUS TIME!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I love you all dearly but 15 minutes in to our time and we were completing each other's sentences. It was like finding a piece of my heart that I didn't know was missing.:lovestruc

:goodvibes  :lovestruc I am glad you had a good weekend, Theresa!!

Olivia started felling bad Sunday night I think, By Monday afternoon she was running a fever. By Tues afternoon she practially had no voice, cough and runny nose. By Thur she started feeling better and Virginia started running a fever. By Friday afternoon Virginia had no voice it was just very light squeaks. she also had a cough and runny nose. She still has a cough and runny nose. Olivia still has a cough and a slightly runny nose. I have either an upper respiratory infection or tonsilitis. I have a very sore throat and was having ear pain and was running a fever.

My grandmother died this morning very peacefully. We will be headed to Huntsville, AL on Thursday for visitation and funeral on Friday. Thanks for all your prayers. I know she is in a better place and that she and my grandfather were ecstatic to finally be back together. They had been married for 55 years when he died 11 years ago, and she missed him terribly.

She and my grandfather were the ones who got me hooked on Disney. They took my brother and me every year and we camped at FW. She left me money to pay for our December trip because she knew how much the kids love WDW. It will be a special time for us to remember her and my grandfather.

I am sorry to hear that you lost your grandmother, Denise. I know she is happier where she is, but you will miss her, I know.

What a lovely thing for her to do for you and your family. It will make the December trip even more special.

Tom - Leighanna's "Dress Like a Star" outfit was perfect!

I got Glynis' permission to post this:

Glynis and her family can use all the spare pixie dust and prayers we have. Her mom's spells have been diagnosed through an angiogram this morning. It is not good. She has been sent home to live her last few months out. The valve they thought was failing is actually calcified, along with most of the other valves and arteries in her heart.

Oh, no. I am so sad to hear this. How horrible for Glynis and her family. :sad1:

Elizabeth-I am sorry I have no advice for you....if you can get DS to understand can you send the magic potion to me for Jim?

I am so sorry Emma is having a hard time making friends at school. Abi (up until 2 years ago) had such a hard time finding friends that it was about this time every year we would combat the "I wish I wasn't alive", "Nobody would miss me" (Good golly...it makes me cry just thinking about it). Nobody believed us that it wasn't because she wasn't happy with herself (she was...she just dispaired over nobody seemingly liking her).

Welcome Home Elin!! Can't wait to hear more about your trip.
