Grrrr.
Our Disney Visa billing cycle closed last night. Do we have our $500 reward dollars for buying DVC? NO! Now it has been 3 billing cycles.

I called DVC (don't have my guide's number with me). Girl at DVC won't give me the guide's number, she says to call Chase.

Call Chase. Girl doesn't see anything in our account, tells me to call DVC. Gives me the name and number of the person to call at DVC.

Call the DVC person, she is out of the office until Thursday.

I am HUGELY unimpressed with how this whole process is playing out.

And now that I finally got to post something I guess i'm off. Gotta make a list of things left to do before Friday. Terra and I both have dr appts on Wed and I promised to take her to a Talk Like a Pirate thing at the park if we're ready in time on Friday. Also gotta have the downstairs company ready before we leave as Mom's having a MOPS dinner with her table groups here on Tues and she'll be out of town Thurs-Sun. And the sewing, and the autograph cards, and the packing, and the laundy, and the.... Actually, there's not too much of anything left to do, I just need to get it all down on paper so that I can manage my time better the rest of the week. QUOTE]

Welcome Dana! I'm Bernadette. Mom to Lizzy (9), Joe (7) and Emma (5). I work full time and DH is a SAHD. Our 24th anniversary is next week.

Well, I'm feeling a bit under the weather. Nothing serious, just exhausted and back achy, general ickiness. So, Alan gets to put the kids to bed, and I'm heading off. I can't believe it! It's only 8:15 here, and I'm heading to bed. Apparently, being pregnant and 41 is very tiring....or so my body tells me.

I understand!!!! Emma nearly killed me when I was pregnant with her at 41 but she was my most "robust" baby of the 3 so she did just fine!!!

My throat is hurting again. Darn post nasal drip. I need to head to bed, but I know that Everything is going to move into my throat and I won't be able to sleep anyway. I so wish that I could find a med that would dry me up without wiring me. I want Nyquil for the abnormal I guess

Hope you can kick this fast. I can't take Nyquil either.

I woke up in the middle of the night with my finger in my ear scratching. I have no idea how far in there it was, but now it's plugged up! I hate this feeling!

Glad you've got power. After hurricane Gloria in 1985 we didn't have power for 10 days. It got old really quick and we didn't have any children.

Chanon - I just watched that video. They e-mailed it to me. I am not all pumped up about the new property, and I am DEFINITELY not buying in there even though it sounds nice. The price per point isn't much higher than AKV, but if we buy more points we'll add to our AKV points.

Will they have concierge units?

Bernadette - They haven't said anything about concierge, so I don't know. BUT a "lake view" room is more points per night than a concierge room at AKV, so that's a no brainer for me. The location is nice, but I would much rather have a concierge room for fewer points than a lake view room with no towels.

They don't go on sale until Sunday, so you have a couple of days to decide!
Really, if I was interested in buying there I think I would wait until it opens and stay there on my existing points. They will have more incentives. Right now it is just $5 off per point, right?

it appears that way...I have to call my guide.....strangely, we have really begun to enjoy the epcot side of things better now. so I am not sure I want to buy more.

the maintenance fees on these 800 points is a killer...I think I would sell my WLV points first and then buy contemporary...I just don't know

We leave Friday night and Jennifer leaves on Saturday morning. When I made my full list it wasn't too bad. Long on paper, but I know a majority of it is pretty quick and the rest is pretty much ready to just do with little prep work needed. Like packing - I know what it all is, it just has to be put in the cases and organized, so at least I'm not starting from scratch.

Tia and Jennifer... care to share your park days with me in case we can meet up???

Marci - We always go to the Fair as soon as the gates open in the morning, so I don't know about parking later in the day. I know years and years ago we had concert tickets for something at Starplex (whatever it's name is now) and it was HORRIBLE. All of the lots were full and the streets were packed, we saw a car almost run over an officer going around him after he told them NOT to go around, we ended up going back home. We figured the cost of having the car stolen would be more than the money we lost on the concert tickets. But that was at night.
It would be wonderful if you could make it to the race with us! We'll just see how the schedules shake out.

Good Morning all!!

The band stinks....sorry had to get that off my chest. For being as far ahead as they were 2 weeks ago they seemed to have decided to scrap almost everything and start over. But I am having oh so much fun really getting to know the other band parents.

Because I had one more person ask to sign up I am going to save the name pulling until after supper tonight!!

Hi Dana!! and Welcome!! I am Theresa, an overworked, overstressed mess. Seriously, I am 37 and mom to 2 beautiful girls, Cassidy, 16 and Abi, 12. I work as an office manager at a church right now. We don't get to go to Disney often but we are already planning Cassidy's graduation extravaganza. My mom lives near Robyn.

My plans are:

Fri - most likely Epcot for F&WF. Will hit the booths at WS rope drop. Dinner at Whispering Canyon then DTD. (If for some reason I can hit enough booths during the preview on Thurs, we may do MK this day, but I don't know.)

Sat - Magic Kingdom, Family Magic Tour in the morning, dinner at 1900 Park Fare, Spectro and Wishes.

Sun - Depart early morning for our flight

I believe that Jennifer's plans overlap ours on both of those days, but I don't know what her Sun plans are. I'd love the chance to meet up with you if we overlap anywhere!!!
