well my sore throat is almost gone. I ran some errands with my mom yesterday and we had the windows down on the truck and now my nose is running. Olivia seems fine. Virginia still has the runny nose and cough. Thanks for asking.

Okay so my mom and I were talking about our next trip, that hopefully she and my Brother and nephew will be coming on as well. She said she would like to go in April. So we are thinking April 2010. So when does the flower and garden festival start?

It starts around March 19 in 2009, so I would say you would be fine in April!

another good thing about April instead of Nov when she origially said she wanted to go is Virginia will still be free.

Good Morning!

Heading out to Kings Island. Brrrrr... it's cold this morning!

A little birdie told me that it is supposed to be 80 degs. at Kings Island today. How to dress? ..... Brrrrrrrrr!

I will try to post pics of the patchwork skirts I made later. Another diser made the t-shirts to go with them since I can't find 4 short sleeve toddler tees here anymore! She lives in Florida and they are out all year long!

I'm back!!! My parents and I got back around 10:30 am this morning. A very emotional, stressful, fun, relaxing and exhausting few days. My cousin Sue and her brothers planned a wonderful memorial service and luncheon for their dad. It was so hard to see my dad so emotional over the loss of his brother. There has been a lot of family drama the past few years, ever since my uncle married his 2nd wife, that has really taken it's toll on everyone. My cousins did the right thing and invited the wife out for the service and she came. Having her there was right but it stressed everyone out. She is not a nice person, to put it mildly. No one likes her nor do they intend to further a relationship with her. That said though, the memorial was touching, 2 of his grandkids did readings. And at the luncheon all 5 of his grandkids sang Happy Birthday to thier Papa as yesterday would have been his 71st birthday. My cousin's cousin (on her mom's side) put together a wonderful photo tribute. Very moving and a wonderful way to remember my uncle as the man I remember from my childhood.

I got 2 more nights of my December trip! Now I only need one more. I have the ressie, but it is on cash. I'm hoping I can get that last night on points too!

I don't like the new DVC waitlist procedures. They will not book your waitlist on a night by night basis. For instance, I was wait-listed for Dec. 3, 4 and 5. They won't book it unless all three nights are available. You can't do night by night anymore. I just happened to call and check availability today and found out they had the 3rd and 4th available. So I booked those and now I only need the 5th!

Have fun today. I bet the weather is just perfect for a trip to Kings Island. I miss going there sometimes. We always thought it was nicer than Kings Dominion for some reason.

We've been to 4 of 5 (former) Paramount Parks, and - although we grew "tired of it", I agree that Kings Island has the potential to be the best. I think that when it first opened, they did a great job with themeing, etc. It's gone downhill since the, but still has the better foundation of the parks compared to the rest.

Hooray! Good luck with the last day! I personally don't mind the new policy, because we never waitlisted day by day. I don't really like split stays, so we waited for all or nothing. I hope your final day comes through!

Oh, we did!!!! It was incredible!!! Have you ever tried any other flavors besides chocolate? I'm thinking it would be really good with spice cake and butterscotch pudding, etc. Lots of variations come to mind. And the fact that I can do it in the crockpot makes it even better.

Seattle--ive seriously been on cloud 9 all night--how corny is that?!

Well, I can definitely tell you we'll be watching that game! We're having my brother and his family for Thanksgiving, and he is a Seahawks fan. So, I'll be watching and rooting for Dallas (gotta tease the baby brother, don't ya know).

They are almost complete, I need to get these off. The family is almost at single digits before their trip!
