DDA Chapter 11

Hope everyone is having a good night..since i am now addicted to facebook, im rearranging my flair --too many without enough room :)

I took "Walking for Fitness". It was just the principle of paying for PE that chapped me. ;)
Sounds interesting! I liked the Line Dancing thing - class was Thursday at 11am and college night at the country bar was Wednesdays. :rolleyes1 She did that purposely.
so what site do I use to get hotels cheap and how do I find out if they are rat traps or not??
www.callchanonatworktomorrow.com
does anyone know what kind of ID I should take for Virginia? When we flew in 06 I did not have ID for Olivia but she was old enough she could tell them her name if she chose to. I checked the TSA sight but did not see anything on their.
Elin bet me to it!
I had to take 4 semesters in college too. I took golf, ballet, archery and volleyball. Loved all 4 of them, but archery was the only one that I was not already doing. :rotfl2:
FOUR?! I only had to take one! And yes, thanks for the email! I'm updating now! (Unless you have any other suggestions for songs... )

Just a quick pop in...

Emma started 3rd grade today(I feel so old and just want to :sad1: ) She was thrilled and excited.

I'll check back tomorrow. I am feeling sick to my stomach and am headed to bed. Good night.

Those are very popular, traditional choices. Do you like them both? I assume you have an organist and he/she should have them both in their repertoire.

Yep. I didn't like the traditional "Here comes the Bride"...this was choice number 2 and seems to work better for us. For when the guys are seating guests and to fill in the quiet during communion, he got all excited when we told him "Beatles" and "Jim Brickman Disney".
what a good website this is :0
I hear it's got 4 out of 5 stars! (someone's name was spelled wrong once...)

So your organist is also a pianist! Very cool, and I bet he is delighted to have other things to play besides the traditional tunes.

I have the best book of Beatles tunes, arranged by Philip Keveren who is a friend of mine. I could listen to my students play these all day long and then come home and play them myself!

Forgive my non technical terms - but I guess so! His piano can flip the tunes - organ, piano...but I believe it's mainly piano. Definately not a huge wall organ like I see in big old churches. We are pretty much giving him free range on music - since Bob is in the choir they are also surprising us with two songs for the ceremony as well. Those are what I'm looking forward to the most!

Robyn - Emma looks so grown-up! My baby starts 3rd grade in another week, so I know what you're feeling.

Ok....so I've created the Facebook thing. Now what?

So we just found out that we will be going to a wedding in Mexico next summer. I am starting to look for a dress now, while summer dresses are on sale. Ive never been to a beach wedding--i was thinking about a light sundress or something like that--would that be okay?

Perfect!

So here's a question for y'all. Do you and/or your family make every bed in the house every day? I'm trying to get my boys (Chris included) onboard with this since I think it makes the house look alot neater. We haven't done so in years as there has always been more important things to deal with with little kids. Now that they are older I think it would be nice. Nick and Chris both feel it is unnecessary as "we are just going to get back into them". So what do you do in your homes?

I usually make the bed when I'm picking up around the house, but I have been trying to get back into a routine of doing it each morning as I did when I was in my parents house :) It does make the house look much nicer, even if it's not completely clean!

So i called the school district again--She said she passed my message along,b ut the director is still in meetings with the superintendent (PLEASE let it be about hiring me!)
She said that I may see the director tomorrow at orientation or I can call the office back on Wednesday---She was really nice and apologized like crazy for not having an answer so HOPEFULLY ill know something tomorrow

Ugh! I'm so sorry they're dragging this out!

Sounds like a good first day! I just hope, for both your sakes, that things continue to stay as positive as they are today! Good luck with the PE thing. I hated PE in jr. high. It was much better in high school. I'm not sure why, but Jr. high was horrible.

Elizabeth, I echo what Glynis said! I hope he continues with more good days! :)

Hey Deb,
I took the liberty of painting Colby's walls yellow, if you don't like it feel free to say so.

:rotfl: I totally know what you meant (and it looks great, by the way!) but this made me chuckle.

Deb, I think that you have some good suggestions, for a few ways to add a little more color! I'm sure it will come together wonderfully!

Oooooh, can I please see your list?! Picking out the music was hands-down my favorite part of our wedding and reception planning. We opted out of the traditional wedding marches, as well. I'd love to see what you're using, if you'd like to share! :goodvibes

Ok gang, I'm off to catch up elsewhere as quickly as possible. I think Avery might actually be asleep for the time being, so keep your fingers crossed that we sleep tonight!  Either way, I can't miss my opportunity! :rotfl:

Vicki, thanks for keeping me up to date on facebook friends :teeth: Just as a bit of a PSA for anyone interested, if you join and can search for our group (just called DDA), you can request an invite. Otherwise I will of course invite you as soon as I can find you ;)
