I am off to bake the cakes. I made cupcakes earlier and will have to make more icing for them in the morning. I tinted the batch I made this morning red so it would look red by Saturday.

SINGLE DIGITS!!! We're going to WDW in NINE days!!​

Why does it seem that every time I have a vacation planned, everything goes haywire at work

One of our employee's is retiring, her last day is Sunday, another employee will be leaving to take another job, & last night an employee failed an alcohol sting(I am still dumbfounded on this one, there is no reason why she should have failed). So instead of being short one person, we are now going to be short 3 & I leave in 2 weeks. I always feel I leave at the worst times. I know none of this is under my control, but I still feel so bad for Mary. I swear she is on the verge of a breakdown. Also under the new city ordinance, beings we failed the sting Mary will be fined $500(managers are fined along with the owner & the employee that has to go to court)!

We have inventory today & I can tell it is not going to be a very cheery day.

Hope things settle down a bit.

Can you text your cell phone a note that you put them in your carryon bag in the front pocket? (My phone I can actually leave myself a voice note!)

That's a great idea! I don't know if my phone has a voice note but I could always call myself from another phone.

It was my DH's birthday too.

I cut my middle finger last night with scissors and it is hard to type now, as it still hurts.

Hope it's feeling better. I cut my thumb over the weekend on a laundry basket and I keep splitting it open again and bleeding on everything.

You make your family's stockings? What do they look like?!

I made these for my kids (too bad Lizzy changed the spelling of her name). I let Lizzy pick out the colors for the snowmen's hats/scarfs and now she likes Emma's best.

My grandma made all 6 of us stockings. The girls (4 of us) all had white felt stockings and each had a different color tree. I hated that as the youngest I got "stuck" with the gold tree while my oldest sister had the pretty purple one. The trees were decorated with rick rack and sequence. My brothers had white trees on red or green felt. We didn't have names on our stockings.

Care to give me some tips on crepes? I love them, but am not the best at cooking them. I'd love to know how to do them correctly!

You need to let the batter "rest" for at least 30 minutes at room temp before cooking them.

Princess has decided she wants to go to Disney World. She wants to see Minnie and Cinderella. She says she will not be frightened, she will be happy. Hmm. This is the child who runs screaming in terror if Santa is on the TV. Momboss thinks maybe December 2009 would be a good time to go, so we'll see.

They would HAVE to take you!

Gary has to work Saturday, so he will not be going to the games this weekend. I am really bummed because I was not looking forward to the drive. They just reopened some of the roads from the flooding, but they are now filled with gravel. I am hearing from those that have traveled on it, that it is single lane & the water is on the edge on both sides.

Riley made me feel like a horrible person yesterday when I mentioned not going & him riding with others. I have this phobia about driving in unfamiliar places, but I will suck it up & go. I really would feel bad not seeing him play. So I will cancel Friday nights hotel reservation & we will just stay Saturday night. I really do hope the roads are better than I am hearing & pray for no rain!

I know I read more but my brain is all muddy. Emma went back to the doctors yesterday. The first infection is gone but she now has swimmer's ear from all the excess fluid. She has been up the past few nights crying in pain which then wakes up Molly and it's been a circus trying to get them back to bed.

And then all the daycare kiddos are back from vacation. Yesterday we had numerous tears and lots of attitude that I am so not in the mood for. I am so hoping today is better.

Poor Emma. Hope she's feeling better!

So it seems my Disney nightmares have stopped, but now I am having nightmares about the DDA kids!

The night before last night I dreamed I was at Bernadette's. Emma threw up on the rug, so I asked Lizzy (whose name was Anna in the dream) to go get me something to clean it up with. She brought me paper towels and Windex. Bernadette was in the kitchen making dinner, so I went to see if she had any carpet cleaner. I needed to hurry, because I had sent Princess home with some friend of mine that my bosses had never met. I was hoping to get back to the house before they came home so they wouldn't know I had been gone all afternoon. It was VERY strange!

Last night I had a dream about Deb's boys! I was babysitting. I got REALLY involved in some movie and I forgot to put them to bed. When I finally looked over, all 3 were asleep in their chairs. I grabbed Colby and took him back to his room. He was a baby, not a kid. As I was putting him in the crib his foot got all tangled in the mobile. (I was untangling a cat toy before bed last night, so there must be some connection there.) I had to hold him with one arm and try to untangle his foot with the other, and all the while I was worried that Deb and Chris would come in and find Hunter and Nick asleep in their chairs.

But at least I'm not dreaming about forgetting my pins!

No throwing up please! The pediatrician had to cancel Lizzy & Emma's check up for tomorrow. I was able to get them appointments for Aug 7th but I switched Emma with Joe's appointment next week. She has to get her booster shots and I don't want her getting them that close to our trip.

Tomorrow at 1045 I have a second interview!! this is the district that iw as told a couple of weeks ago they had no openings..they called and asked if i would interview with 2 principals!

I also have an appointment on Tuesday with the ENT to discuss getting my tonsils out

I decided not to go with the DDP this trip. I am keeping 6 of our TS meals, so between those & a few CS meals & the stuff I just ordered I do not think the boys or myself will go hungry lol

I would have said "Well, they furnish fridges in SOME rooms. All deluxe, moderate, and DVC rooms have a fridge. If not, one may be requested for no charge. At Value resorts they cost $10 per night. Can you all spare some pixie dust for my sister? She is in the hospital with a kidney infection. She went to the doctors last week and was treated with antibiotics but apparently she did not respond to them. She has had a round of IV antibiotics and will hopefully respond well to those. TIA.

I've spent way too many hours today adding borders and embellishments to our photopass photos. I don't think I'll ever make it to the end I've save a bunch in black and white too. Who knows how many we will actually print, but we'll have a disk or 5 full

Have you noticed if its any better than in the past? I always end up with 2,000+ after I add all my borders.

So today I went to tour one of our camps. Although some of the buildings could use some work, the property is absolutely gorgeous. It has waterfalls hidden throughout the property on hiking trails.

My family on my Mom's side never exchanged xmas gifts as we were going to do something together. Even before I went today I was thinking that we should do a cabin camping trip somewhere. Well I am thinking we should go to this camp towards the end of October as the leaves will be changing and the falls should have decent amounts of water. Plus that is off season and rates are lower. It also should be decent weather.

Now to see if we can find a weekend that works for all.

BUT...if you ask they will take it at the food court too. BUT...I didn't try often as we were on the DDP at POR.

I'm looking forward to having the microwave. I'm going to get spray sunscreen, water, bread, cold cuts, fruit, laundry soap, bagels, yogurt, Kraft EasyMac (Emma won't eat the Disney stuff), and hot dogs. I'm also going to do an order from minimus.biz. I think I might do my cereal from them.

I can't believe she is 9months. Lucy weighed in at 18lbs 9oz and 29 1/2" at her year check up. The weight puts her into the 13%. Her height is the 62% but they measured her wrong (our office is notorious for screwing up heights) She is only about 28" there was a huge gap between her head and the top of the measuring board.

Wow Becky! 28lbs! She's got a whole 10lbs on Lucy. Have I told you all that Lucy has finally started to cruise around furniture. She started this weekend and even got brave this afternoon and tried to make it from the coffee table to the couch.

well I think Virginia has had a fever all day. All she did at moms today was sleep pretty much. Mom told me when I picked her up that her head felt hot. Well we get home and she has a temp of 102.2 rectal called the after hrs for the dr and the nurse told Jeff to give her tylenol and if its not gone in 72hr to call back.

Found out after Riley's practice last night that their 1st game is at 9:30am on Saturday, so no sleeping in tomorrow either! We will leave around 7, coach wants the players there an hour before game start for warm up. They will play again at 3:30pm & 5pm & he said there might be a 4th game in there. Sunday they are guaranteed to play one game. Won't know the time of that one till we see how they place from Saturdays games. They keep playing Sunday till they lose or hopefully win the tournament!

I can't imagine it's that good.... the Riverboat tours are already so popular and seem to go more places. Still, I suppose just the Duck Tour-ness of it might make it worth it I think we're going in October, I'll let you all know then
