Last year on DD6's birthday (a year ago yesterday) I took her to Build-A-Bear, where DD created a wonderful friend named Jordan. She had a soundbox put in Jordan's paw, so that Jordan could sing the BAB birthday song. Jordan sang her song many, many, many times, until she finally lost her voice.

DD told her Grandmommy (my MIL) that for her birthday this year, she wanted Jordan to be able to sing again.

I'm happy to report that Jordan underwent a successful soundbox-ectomy this afternoon. The surgical staff at our local BAB did a wonderful job of unstitching her, replacing the soundbox, and repairing the incision. So now Jordan can, again, sing in her inimitable (low, masculine) voice, "I'm the birthday bear, I'm the birthday bear, Happy birthday -- to yoooou!"

You brave, wonderful soul!! ;)

That song (that is the one that they play over and over again in the store, isn't it?) drives DD and I up the wall. We went there today and she was like, "Just grab the clothes and let's get out of here!" :rotfl:

That's sweet, I'm glad they could fix it for her. :goodvibes

I've been thinking about sending DD's favorite Gund bear away to be "revamped" but the "doll hospital" in this area is now closed. Has anyone had experience with this other than at BAB?
