DD14's luck at the thrift store

This week is dress-up week for Homecoming. Thursday is Decades Day, and DD14, who wants to be different, wanted to do 1940's and cosplay as Agent Peggy Carter. On the way to Grandma's weekend before last we stopped at a Salvation Army in a small town. Incredibly, she found EXACTLY what she was looking for...a red fedora, dark blue skirt suit size 4, white button down, and high heel mary janes (and she wears womens 5.5!)...$13 and we are set...I am still floored that she found them and in her size.

It's always hit or miss for me, but when I hit, I hit big. Your daughter looks the part in that outfit, but I must say, I never would have guessed she was only 14.

Yes, absolutely. She is obsessed with Marvel movies and cosplay, makeup and acting!

I know! When you see them in person, they are really sweet. Patent leather toe and heel, curved heel...they are Sofft brand and look like new. We couldn't have done better if we were shopping unlimited sources. Tonight she printed a Peggy Carter ID badge and glued it to thin cardboard to keep in her pocket.
