DD12 got a bit of a shock this morning :-)

My minivan desperately needed a carwash, and the one I went to was one of those touch free ones where you have to guide the front wheel into a certain spot. Well, I'm terrible at that, and so DD12 sometimes gets out of the car to guide me in. Little did we know, though, that this particular carwash starts with an undercarriage wash as you're driving in!

Fortunately, it's a relatively balmy day in the northeast, and she was wearing shorts and flipflops...and we were going right home after that!

Shorts and flip-flops?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's more of a shocker to me since we are freezing here! Oh, I'm so jealous.

We also went to the car wash this morning. But since we were washing DH's convertible, we had to go to the kind where you put in quarters and wash it yourself. (He's concerned that an auto carwash, even the touchless kind, will hurt the roof.) The two kids "helped" and we all got a bit wet. I've been driving DH's car for the month of December, since he needed my mini-van for work. (BTW, I HATE his car!) Thought I would be nice and return his car clean and vacummed. Unfortunately, the roads are so wet, sandy, and salty, by the time we got home it hardly looked washed! Oh well, it was the thought that counts!.............P
