DD has too small a mouth for a normal number of teeth. I had this same problem. I had 4 baby teeth pulled, 4 permanent teeth pulled, 3 wisdom teeth pulled, and braces for 3 1/2 years. DD10 is following in my footsteps. She's already had 4 baby teeth pulled, and a week from Monday has to have 2 more pulled. The dentist showed me the xray. Her eye-teeth (?) are growing into the permanent teeth already in. Dentist said that if they continue growing like that they will damage the permanent ones. He's hoping that by pulling the baby teeth it will create a good avenue for the permanent ones to grow into. I didn't ask what will have to be done if it doesn't work. Anyone know what the alternatives might be if this doesn't work?
DD is not happy about this.

. She is scared her teeth will shift before the adult ones make their way through the gum. So far since Aug, she has had to get reading glasses, retainers and 4 warts frozen off of her leg. You would think that this would make her nerdy, but she now has a beautiful smile, looks 2 years older with her glasses and now wants to shave her legs
. I hate having girls, my boys are so low maintenance.
Hugs to you and your DD!
