DD took me up on offer!

My DD and her husband (30 ish) took me up my offer to book them a room for a badly needed vacation. They plan to go in September. They have stayed in the BCV and thought it was OK but this time are requesting a resort with more "action". I was thinking of either the BWV or SSR. Two questions- do you think I can still get a room for this September and of the two resorts, which would offer more to do in the evening? I was thinking that SSR, being closer to Down Town Disney, might have more of a night life for them. Being September and parks closing earlier, how would early closing affect activities at the BWV? Any thoughts are appreciated!

My DH and I enjoyed DTD everynight. It was absolutely wonderful after the parks all day to come "home" relax, take a soak in the huge whirlpool then stroll over to DTD for a little excitement. It was a different thing every night!
The walk over was soothing, watching all the neon lights reflecting in the water as you crossed over to DTD from SSR. There are so many places to eatfrom sandwiches to the big $$$ meals.

Also SSR offers carriage rides which looked extrememly nice to take about dusk. No kids? Well they would especially love the On the Rock bar next to the beautiful pool which is separated by a small fence from the main pool area, but sitting under those big umbrellas while enjoying the sites is pretty nice.

WHat a great parent to send her DD and DSIL on such an extremely generous trip. I hope that they have the most mickey magical time of their lives wherever you choose to book them, I 'm certain they will!

I agree, either SSR or BWV would be a good choice for them. September is usually an easy time to get ressies, so I don't think you will have any problems getting a room, but don't expect to get BWV/Standard view.

I booked a September trip last week at VWL and BCV (have since rebooked for F&W)...I was told they had 30+ units available at that time.

I don't think you'll have any problem with September.

I post on the solo/adult boards here.

they have been complainting about PI - seems like lots of teens are hanging out there. they are too young to go into the nightcub so they are out on the streets....

the local police officer come by around 10:30 pm to encourage them to leave - but still it is a source of irritation to some on the solo board.

they say that Jellyrolls is more fun.

I certainly don't know - much too old....

Jellyrolls is on the BW - so it would be fine too.

you know the quiet pools at SSR are opened 24 hours......
