My DD who is 4 only likes Juicey Juice, a particular flavor, what should I do to ensure that we have it while @ Disney? Last year she drank milk but she really doesn't drink milk all that much anymore and she doesn't like anything else really....water on occasion.

Honestly, as much as I recommend WeGoShop, I'd say stick 2 bottles (or packs of boxes) in a box and mail them to the resort.

Maybe this is a good time to try something new. At 4 they can understand that they are on vacation and there are no stores around. The reality is that there is no juicy juice. The vacation atmosphere may make trying new things easier.

I'd take the opportunity to try and break the Juicy Juice habit. She's 4, she's old enough to understand that Disney does not sell Juicy Juice. You'd be doing her a favour in the long run by having her get used to other brands and flavours.

Children shouldn't have more than a glass of juice a day anyway, so this is a great time to teach her to drink water.

Actually, my pediatrician says no more than 4 ounces a day of juice and no more than 9 ounces of milk. Neither of my kids care much for juice and ds can't have milk due to an allergy so we go through a lot of bottled water.

I dont think the OP was asking anyones opinion on how much juice she should give to her daughter a day, that is really up to her. We had the same thing last year with caprisun juice..only one flavor! and would drink nothing else. At 4 years old they can be a little fickle sometimes. We threw some in our suitcase to tide us over then found some more at walmart when we got there. Failing that just mail some off to the resort beforehand. I totally understand your predicament..good luck!:thumbsup2

Pack it in the luggae or if you are renting a car stop at wally world I think it is close to the parks. Does the flavor she like come in the drink boxes that way it will be easier to carry around with you maybe:confused3
Too bad Juciy Juice isnt one of those that came in pwder form too.

I probably would just have her drink whatever they have at WDW, but I'm mean like that.

Why don't you just try to order some from Gardengrocer.com? They usually have a pretty big selection.

We are taking a couple packs of the individual serving size juices in our checked luggage. DS is only 2, so I am taking it so that I can make sure it is available whenever we need it. He will get milk with his breakfast and dinner, so the juice is mostly for snacks.

To answer the question in the title of this thread- I would cut that out before I went. She can learn to like other things. She is not going to refuse to ever drink again just because she can't have JJ.

To answer your second question- order it from a grocery delivery or ship it down in a box before you go.

Well, since you asked "what would you do?" I personally would not be packing juice in my luggage.

If I can find it on property at Disney then great, if not, I would introduce other drinks while there and give her water if she won't take anything else.

My DD15 has an allergy, so we needed to order CapriSun so she would be able to drink something other than water for a week. We did Garden Grocer and they were great!! I highly reccomend them, and they are very easy to work with. You can order online so it's very easy to get what you want, they just have to make sure they sell the product and/or it's in stock. HTH!!!

Well if you're gonna ask a question about a behavior that strikes most parents as kinda weird, we're going to say, (as parents), hey, have you maybe considered that it might not be a bad idea to not have the kid drinking juice all the time?

Because I think most of us have had kids that have gone through a "I don't like anything" phase and most of us would agree that caving to it isn't terribly good for the kid...

In my family it's been "I know you don't like orange juice this morning, drink it anyway, it's not gonna kill you."

We always pack water and juice boxes in our checked luggage!!!! It's great and actually saves us a lot of money not having to buy drinks in WDW (those $2 water bottles really add up!)

I have never heard of garden grocer before I will have to check that out.

If I packed the sip type of juicey juice would is explode in my luggage? Haha.

I just want to make sure she drinks enough and doesn't dehydrate. She will drink water but is not a really big fan of it. I only remember being offered apple juice while in disney and milk.

She will not drink (not that I won't allow, she just doesn't like it) soda so I feel she isn't left with too many options you know. :confused3

Not to be mean but you offered her the JJ. She is a kid. Most kids would rather drink juice/soda/pixie stix than water. Start cutting out the JJ now.

I hate to sound mean (okay not really because this irritates me) but this is not directed at the OP in particular so it is not a personal attack just a pet peeve- but I cannot help but roll my eyes when people say their child will only eat things like chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, soda, fries, juice.
That is not true. That is just because you give them those foods! When those foods aren't a choice on the menu they will eat other things! They are not going to starve themselves!
Sorry but that is a pet peeve of mine. This of course excludes children who has real medical issues like SID etc.
Stepping off my soapbox

ETA- Soda and juice are equally full of sugar. Neither is really that great for you.
