DD's class is doing Dirty Santa on Friday. Gotta love those short notices!!!

Anyway...the teacher asked for the dirty santa gifts to be fun and silly but yet school appropriate. I am drawing a blank....any ideas???

DD is in 6th grade.

Thanks!

A monogrammed notepad... monogrammed with an "I" of course!

(i-Pad) :rotfl2:

Get it???

My husband went to one last week at youth group and apparently the big hit was a giant tube of gumballs from Target. I wanna say they were around $8 or so?

As a teacher, I would say things like large oversized pencils, scented pencils, highlighters, pencil sharpeners, stickers, post its and such like that. Another thing would be personal things of tissues or things like that. Other items could be socks, toe socks, scarves, mittens, gloves.

Maybe some cool, or funny candy. Those bottles of really sour stuff that the kids love are about a $.

Target $1 area has some cute ideas. A few yrs back DD's class did that...she was in 4th gr. We got a light-up Christmas tree that was $2.50.

Flashlights, pkg of markers, pkg of sticky notes, etc. all make great silly gifts.

The best Dirty Santa gift I have ever received was an 8X10 photo frame with an altered photo of the gift giver.

It was her head of a roasted turkey with bikini tan lines! HAHAHA

I actually gave a Gag gift that year (that the receiver could trade for a real 'mystery gift'- the gag gift was a re-gift of the 'Gift Certificate' for a SINGLE CUP of coffee that the CFO gave us all that year. We were a little insulted by that gift of a SINGLE cup of coffee - however - the laughs from the rest of the office made that gift the absolute HIT of the office Christmas Party! :lmao:

The other GREAT Dirty Santa gift that started a family tradition was a plastic SPAM cutter that the local grocery store owner gave my Mom!

That Spam Cutter really made the rounds - for about 6 years straight! HAHA

At my local grocery store (Wegmans) they have these nail polish pens, I'd assume they sell them anywhere, for about $6. They are for drawing little details on nails (like flowers/stripes/or whatever the kids want to draw, (like if you were to go to the salon).

The AWESOME members of the DISBoards come to the rescue again!!!

I told DD about the I-Pad idea and she loved it. We happened to have gotten a book in the mail from Amazon and it was the perfect box size. Here is her gift for tomorrow:

I have never heard of dirty santa, but that "I" pad is just plain mean :lmao:

This is such a great idea, I may have to steal *borrow* it. :) Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Two of my children are getting "ipads" for Christmas. They never stipulated they had to be in working order.....;)
