DD is turning 1 next week (sigh it's so bittersweet I'm sad she's not a small baby but I love her at this age she's sooo fun) but we are about to finish up her last case of formula and are only doing it so we can use it up since she already drinks whole milk just fine.

We got lucky with our formula (Gerber Goodstarts Gentle in liquid/premixed form) from Amazon for $170 a month on subscribe and save so $50 a month cheaper than going to the store. But I am soooo excited to no longer have that expense!

My goal is start adding half that money to a Disney savings account (still debating gift cards thru Target vs outright savings) for our 2017 dream trip (estimated $4500) so saving just $85 a month pending no major changes to our finances will be $2040 by trip time so that is very exciting.

Our current fundage is at $245 plus enough coins for 40 penny presses which DH loves :)

So celebrate with me!!! We're getting closer to our dream trip!

Congratulations! This baby was able to BF, but my first had formula from 4 months on and it is sooooo expensive!

My DD will be 1 in December, so right there with you on the bittersweet moments as they go from baby to toddler <3

I will have another baby in March though, so I guess I should be glad she's getting more independent LOL

perfect for cruising!!! finally got my little one off formula and now we are stress-free on the formula front for her first disney vacation. FREE MILK!

Oh, I remember that. And diapers. But then they just got expensive other ways. College savings. Gymnastics. Baseball. Now I have two drivers and car insurance for two teens. And a seventeen year old whose grocery bill is about equal to the GDP of a small nation.

Lol, I remember when my kids were little, and I celebrated getting rid of formula and diapers (5 kids in under 7 years). OMG older kids are SO expensive! I could feed a small village on my cellphone bill alone.

I know I'm kinda dreading the expense with the teen years...heck even the preteen years...right now I can still buy lots of clothes and toys are consignment sales and a day at the park is enough to entertain her.

That was SUCH a nice expense to wave bye-bye to. Then diapers, eventually. We were spending $120/month on formula back in 2004....when we were making 45% of what we are now. It was such a hard time, financially!
