We are considering DTGS for a long weekend in Sept. (NOJ.) Anyone been there recently? How was the transportation-better to drive to MK or take their bus? How about the breakfast with the Mousesavers deal? Any thoughts appreciated!

Wow! With the way this is advertised on allears.net, I am surprised not to see any responses! Is $99 per night with breakfast included and all that space too good to be true? Anyone? Please?

I have stayed there a few years ago. It was nice. We didn't eat breakfast there. The bus service was fine. We did have a little wait for the bus in the afternoon to return to the hotel. I would stay there again.

I haven't stayed at the Doubletree, but I would love to!

I HAVE used their transportation though, and if you have a car, it's just more convenient to drive. The bus isn't bad, but there's no shelter so if it's blazingly hot, or pouring down rain, you're up a creek.

(Of course I prefer my car to Disney transportation - I really like not having to wait for a bus and to just GO)

How big is the fridge in the room? Does it have a freezer?

well we stayed there in may2003
mousesavers rate of 89 a noght including breakfast
nice big room clean good food nice pool we used a car i dont like buses and found them over crowded
i believe they have had a remodel of most rooms since then
we were very happy there
you can walk to dtd and we love dtd and go there alot

We stayed there in May of this year. The rooms really are as good as they sound. The new mattresses are comfortable and the room we had was recently renovated. The fridge is the size of an undercounter bar fridge with a small freezer big enough to hold an ice cube tray. The pool was having maintenance done so we weren't able to use it much. The bus service was great, 20 minutes or less to all but Animal Kingdom. If you ask the driver what time they leave the park you can usually time it pretty well and don't have to wait. The breakfast was a cold breakfast (rolls, toast, cereal, fruit), we ate quickly in the diningroom each morning and were off to the parks for park opening. I think the diningroom was busier the later you got up but we were usually there around 7am when they opened.

We have five in our family and I would definitely stay here again. The extra space was great and non-Disney stores are just a 10 minute walk away.

we just got back from Orlando and had a FANTASTIC rate for Doubltree from Priceline.,,the only thing is..this is the one right across from Universal,,so not sure if this is where you would be staying...but anyway,,we were VERY happy. The nice lady at the check in desk let us check in 2 hours early,,..wow......yummy wam cookies...nice clean room.Very quiet floor....and we requested a smoking room(DH not me) and it smelled very clean.i was surprised,,,nice places to eat at the hotel, gift shop,pool,salon,gym,,etc....and super comfy beds........could not have been happier,,,,,,hope this helps someone
