3/22 Day 3 - Epcot

DD woke up and walked outside to a very chilly morning. The cold front had arrived. We organized our bags so we could check out after breakfast. Once again had a great experience in the food court at ASMo. Lots of people but never had to wait very long at all for anything. We went back to the room to get everything and brought our bags to the bell stand to have them transferred to the Contemporary where we were going to spend the last 2 nights. It is DD's bday tomorrow and she wanted to wake up at the CR. They said it would be delivered between 12-3.

We headed for Epcot today. The bus first stops at Blizzard Beach, which we were glad we did the other day because it was quite chilly at 10a. When we got to Epcot there were tons of school trips. We had to wait it a long line to get through security and the gates. It went smoothly though. We first stopped at Innoventions and played around in there. My DD played a game (game show style- I forget what it was called) and had to not get tagged by the other players. She loved it. Right next to that we sent a video email to DH back home. That was pretty cool! And its free! 10 seconds long and you get to see it right after you do it. She got a huge kick out of this. Then the woman gave my DD a Magical Moment certificate because she heard it was DD birthday on our Dmail. Another thrill for her! From there we discovered 2 Sony robot dogs. She was fascinated with these. We left Innoventions and the fountain in front of the World Showcase was doing its dance to some music. We watched in awe. It is truly a Disney magical moment! I loved it! Then we realized that she lost her sunglasses. I decided to go back into Innoventions just in case we found them. We back tracked and didn't see them. I asked the people that had been around doing the game and Dmail and they got someone to check Lost and Found. It had only been 30 minutes since we had originally left. He went to look and came back within 2 minutes with them in his hand. I couldn't believe it. It is so nice to know that someone recognized that they might be missed and turned them in for another magical moment like this to occur.

By this time my DD was hungry and couldn't wait until the World Showcase opened so we tried the eatery at the Land. It was soo crowded. There were tons of kids with schools around and the lines were unbelievable. We left and headed back to a place near Innoventions. The same was true there. The lines were so long. At this point I told DD that we should just get a snack and eat lunch later. We headed for the World Showcase and went right to the side with Canada. There was a MCD's snack place right before that so I sood in line. The line took 30 minutes! Not being used to Fla weather...it had also warmed up considerably and it was hot. I also am still battling a headache and vertigo since we arrived. Finally we sat and ate and were very excited to start our journies to the countries. We got to Canada, browsed the store and bought a passport for DD to get stamped at every country. This was such a hit for her and it wasn't even stamped yet! Then we found the Kidcot table set up for the kids to color a mask to bring to all the countries. We decided not to do the movie here because they warned it might make some fell a little sick. Well, I already had vertigo so I decided to skip it. We were off to the UK. Somehow we missed the Kidcot table here and never got a stamp. We journeyed on. Morocco, Japan, America. We sat down for a song set here. It was upbeat and enjoyable. It looks like they are doing some renovating and will be adding something new here. Italy, Germany, then China. There were 2 young girls doing a show outside at China that were unbelievable. Fascinating to watch. the people here at the Kidcot stop were especially nice. We didn't do the ride at Norway, although I heard its great and has fast pass! Mexico also has a ride which we took 3 years ago. We were done with the countries and decided to go to the Cr hotel to check in and meet up with my sister who came in from Tampa. It had turned out to be a glorious blue sky warm day. It had been 15 years since I have done the countries and I barely remembered it. We had so much fun today.

We got into the CR and put our bags away. Of course no problems with the transfer. We did mention to the clerk that it was DD birthday tomorrow because we heard they do something special. Our room was a garden room which seemed far at first but later realized it wasn't so bad. The rooms here are very large. We lounged around by the lake a little while and then went to Coronado Springs resort for dinner. This is where my sister, her DH, and DS were staying. I had never seen this resort before. It is very big but very nice. We walked over to the Food Court...kind of far(esp. since it was cool now) The food court experience here wasn't so great. You have to wait to be seated by a hostess. She gives you a ticket that you have to take to the different areas to get stamped when you order. A server brings you drinks that you pay 10% for. We never saw him again after he brought our inital drinks. It didn't seem very organized here. Maybe we hit it on a bad night. We returned to CR late but not late enough for my DD to play in the huge game room they had. Heaven to her. We went to bed around 11pm awaiting the big bday morning.

I hope it wasn't too boring for you all. We had a blast today.

Sounds like a nice day for the two of you. Thanks for posting!
