Last year I took my dd then 10 to the Gardenview Tea Room for tea during our Thanksgiving trip as a treat since her db got to take a friend with him on that trip. I also special ordered her the white chocolate slipper dessert and had it delivered there. I don't do my pics online so I can't show you a pic. She said she enjoyed it and she seem to show that she did.
Roll forward to last night. I was lurking on the boards, looking at wdw food porn, getting excited for our trip next week and my dd11 leans over next to me and says are we going to the tea room this trip. My first thought was OMG I bet everything is booked, so I said I hadn't planned on that this trip and she says but I want to. I immediately go to the dining web site and was able to snag a ressie for 11-21-11 at 2:10pm for the 2 of us. She was watching the computer and excitely says did you get it. The look of excitment on her face when I said I did and I've already got the email confirmation was priceless. The hug I rec'd brought tears to my eyes as I realize I'm not alone they love Disney too. The countdown is on.
