DD turns 13 on Oct.23 (party on Sat. 22) so I have a stretch SUV coming to ride them around for a couple of hours then they are coming back to have a sleep-over ( this is where I need ideals) They will be around 15 girls ( or more)..
What type of game or movies to keep them busy all night... :confused3

well it has to be some scary movies for them!!!!

Maybe have them play a halloween themed how to host a murder or something like that.

Do girls this age still like experimenting with make up and hair do's? Get some stuff where they can get "dolled" up and then make sure they wash it all off before going home!

buy a bunch of nail products with stickers for their fingers. Those things that puts the beads in your hair with is fun. (do girls still do this?) We played pictureary (sp?) with her old easel. The girls seemed to enjoy this. and bingo with cute prizes. Socks, hair of nail things to take home. That is an awful lot of pre-teen girls be prepared for some drama. :teeth: Good luck.

It would be kind of cool to have a spa day all set up. They can do pedicures, manicures---facials and such.

My sis and I love doing each others hair and stuff and getting all made up when we were in our tweens and early teens.

If you happen to have a friend who sells Mary Kay or Body Shop or something similar and would be willing to come over and do a spa party. My friend who sells Mary Kay has done this before...mostly for the benefit of teaching good skin care.

Or you can just hit wal-mart and stock up on the stuff and have it ready for the girls when they get back.

Renting tween/teen movies--especially those of the chick flick variety would be a nice supplement to the activity.

I vote on getting some scary movies! To get them in a halloween mood! Then maybe have a comedy movie as a back up, because me and my friends love to watch scary movies at a big sleep over, but MUST watch something else to get our minds away from the scary movie. I think murder in the dark is also a great game!

My birthday is the day before her's! Tell her happy bday for me. :cool1:

DD & her friends like to have a craft to do at parties. The 12 - 14 yr parties included things like start a scrapbook (they brought photos & I picked up paper, stickers & small albums at the Dollar Tree), bead pins (on those tiny brass safety pins), "beady buddies", necklaces made with hemp & beads, painted boxes and then filled with potpourri & at one party they made "mini food" (idea was in the American Girl magazine). The mom had to be in the room for using the oven with the last one, but only for a short time.

They also like "free form" time when the do each other's hair & nails - girly stuff.

This group likes "chick flicks" - I have to be careful because there are a couple who are not permitted to watch scary movies...and then a few others who can't watch certain PG-13 movies.

They love Disney's Scene-It, Dance Dance Revolution & other board games.

They love running around outside playing flashlight tag and they think it's really cool if I do a treasure hunt. That's one that takes work because their favorite way to do it is they play in 2s or 3s & each group has a different set of clues. First one done gets something "extra" but the "treasure" is just whatever "favor" we get.
