Does anyone have any photos, size breakdown, etc on this cabin? We are taking our 90 year old grandmother on a cruise, and she is new to a wheelchair. Any tips would be a great help!
we sail on the wonder 15th may and i would be happy to post pics of a disabled stateroom if you can wait until then? i think our room is the same as yours maybe just a tad smaller looking at the deck plans we are on deck 6
here's a link that you may find helpful although i think the pics are perhaps a little dated the room size will be about right
Ah good old DIS. Links get 'changed'. Just google on castawayclub. Or put the known url-parts in front and behind it. They've got pics of a inside accessible stateroom on there. Also, allears has those online also.
I don't have a photo but have stayed in that stateroom before. There's a fairly long verandah but it's solid metal so you won't be able to see the ocean from inside your stateroom. There's just one queen bed and the turn-down sofa and the stateroom itself is quite spacious with plenty of room for a w/c turning radius. The bathroom is HUGE with a fold down bench with roll in shower and plenty of space for a toilet transfer. The door to the stateroom itself is wider to allow w/c access but doesn't have the automatic opener that exists on the two accessible verandah staterooms in Cat 6. Deck 7 is nice- not crowded ( not alot of interior staterooms) and there's the "secret" verandah right outside your door with lounge chairs and a sweeping vista view of the back of the ship as she sails. You'll be fairly close to the aft elevator.---Kathy
