DCL transport for MCO airport

9:06? What time did you go down to the lobby?
Well, the paper said it didn’t start until 9. We got down at 8:30 and there was already a long line. I think there were several larger groups that wanted to go together, so we got the last 4 seats on the first bus.

At present, if you are using DCL transport from the MCO Hyatt or a WDW resort, you will be automatically given an early PAT and early boarding group without choosing one. However, if you are transferring with DCL transfers from MCO (not Hyatt) then you will need to pick a PAT and could be assigned any number of boarding groups. Make sure your reservation shows Hyatt as your transfer origin, not the airport.

When we were there last month, the piece of paper we got when we checked in said to meet down in the lobby of the Hyatt at 8:50 for a 9:20 departure so we did that and the place was absolutely MOBBED. The first bus departed around 9 AM and I imagine those people were there LONG before 8:50. We ended up being on the fifth bus at around 10:15 or so. It didn't really matter. Either way, we would have waited. We arrived at the port at 11:15, boarding began around 11:45. Our boarding group, group 5, was called at 12:20.
About to ask a possibly very stupid question. I’m staying in the Hyatt. When we get into the cruise terminal how will they know that we arrived on a bus from the Hyatt abs therefore an earlier PAT

Your PAT and boarding group number are listed on your checkin document that you get after you check in that you will be required to display upon arrival.

Did the Hyatt name show up anyplace on your DCL website info, such as the port check in document? It’s not showing on mine anywhere. I worry about getting to the Hyatt and them not having my name.
Thanks so much!

I got a document from my TA (Kathy with DU) that showed my cruise info, the Hyatt info, and my transfers. At some point they dropped one of my transfers and I spotted it on there so she was able to add it back quickly and with no drama.

It should show up on your reservation if you booked the Hyatt via DCL. Look at your original confirmation email with your summary from DCL.

Are you getting the bus directly from the Hyatt lobby? Or going to the MCO location (former DME)? If you are on the list to get the bus from the Hyatt lobby, they'll give you that info at check-in.

Yes, the first bus from the airport used to start loading around 9am and pull out around 9:20 or so with arrival at the port before the terminal opened. DCL has made some adjustments with their transfers, and now the resorts are picked up early morning and the buses from the airport start slightly later than in pre-covid times.
BUt what time??

BUt what time??
MCO or Hyatt? My experience on 8/6 from the Hyatt was that I was loaded on the first bus at 9:06 based on the pic I took and sent to my father in law. Not sure about Mco.

Aren't the Hyatt and MCO the same?? WE stay at the Hyatt and simply walk down to the DCL bus boarding area in the Airport.

Not since the restart. They have a bus specifically assigned to the guests staying at the Hyatt, with a meeting point at a set time in the lobby. You can surely by-pass it and go down to the regular bus meeting point. I doubt they would refuse you access to the regular shuttle.

Just to add…you must be “on the list” to catch the bus from the Hyatt lobby - which means either booking Hyatt through DCL or contacting DCL if you booked it on your own.

Well, the Hyatt is at mco, but we literally caught the bus right outside the Hyatt, not in the general area for those coming straight off the plane if that makes sense. It’s a different system. All through DCL.

If you aren’t on the list, as another poster referenced, they will not let you board at the Hyatt. I saw one large family group (like 20 people) who had to decide whether to split up or all go to the regular Mco boarding.

Hope not since we paid for the transfers!!!
