If you are taking the MCO DCL shuttle, you do not need to match the PAT you are asked to pick with its schedule. You can take any bus at any time. They do not enforce the PAT for shuttle users.

be nice if this were true. But in case it isn't I would still like to know the first bus time.

Last I knew the first bus from MCO was leaving around 10am.
HMM--must have changed since the previous times we used it--can remember being around 9 or so. I'm just concerned that the virus frenzy hasn't sparked changes I am not aware of--

I don't have the schedule in front of me, but even 10am sounds early, but possible.
Perhaps it actually leaves at 10:15am and then begins unloading passengers at PCvl by 11:30am . . . that is even early for Concierge, Platinum etc. (but I suppose it gives the bus the chance to back-haul to MCO and get another load of passengers at 1pm?)

My DW and I tend to get to places early and waiting around the recently improved PCvl cruise terminal isn't the worst way to spend an extra hour or two, yes?

Hyatt as always.
Are you getting the bus directly from the Hyatt lobby? Or going to the MCO location (former DME)? If you are on the list to get the bus from the Hyatt lobby, they'll give you that info at check-in.

Yes, the first bus from the airport used to start loading around 9am and pull out around 9:20 or so with arrival at the port before the terminal opened. DCL has made some adjustments with their transfers, and now the resorts are picked up early morning and the buses from the airport start slightly later than in pre-covid times.

At present, if you are using DCL transport from the MCO Hyatt or a WDW resort, you will be automatically given an early PAT and early boarding group without choosing one. However, if you are transferring with DCL transfers from MCO (not Hyatt) then you will need to pick a PAT and could be assigned any number of boarding groups. Make sure your reservation shows Hyatt as your transfer origin, not the airport.

When we were there last month, the piece of paper we got when we checked in said to meet down in the lobby of the Hyatt at 8:50 for a 9:20 departure so we did that and the place was absolutely MOBBED. The first bus departed around 9 AM and I imagine those people were there LONG before 8:50. We ended up being on the fifth bus at around 10:15 or so. It didn't really matter. Either way, we would have waited. We arrived at the port at 11:15, boarding began around 11:45. Our boarding group, group 5, was called at 12:20.

Do you remember if you boarded the buses according to the port arrival time they’d given you? Or was it first come first boarded?

Also, did you reserve the Hyatt thru DCL or directly with Hyatt?

I just did this for the Wish this month. People line up in the lobby of the Hyatt and then they assign you a bus based on where you are in line. They will give you a group and then tell you what time to be ready for your group. We were on the first bus and would have left around 9am but there was a mechanical issues with our bus and they had to transfer everyone to the bus after us. We still arrived well before the start of boarding.

It doesn't matter if you reserve through the Hyatt or DCL. However, if you reserve directly you must call DCL and have them put you on the Hyatt list. There was someone behind me in line at the lobby that didn't do this and they had to go down to the boarding area for MCO in general. (They were still able to have their luggage transferred from their room to the MCO bus and didn't have to take it themselves.)

We weren't on it (we were on the third bus), but last week, the first bus definitely left earlier...closer to 9am IIRC.

Different process since the shut down of Magical Express. Since Disney doesn't control that area of the lower level of MCO anymore, you wait in the Hyatt lobby and then line up and they escort you to the bus - in the Hyatt carport/valet area.

Not sure how it works for the non-Hyatt guests.

When you checked in at the Hyatt? DCL rep told us to be down at 930. Now that I think about
it I didn't know there was 2 pickup spots. Will they let us know which one to be at? We are staying
at the Hyatt. Thanks

It has been a few years since we last stayed at Hyatt before the cruise. I seem to remember them
taking the luggage down to the bus. This time we booked through Hyatt directly. Does this mean
we take our own luggage down to wait in line? thanks

No, they should still collect your luggage for you. Just make sure DCL knows you're staying at the Hyatt the night before, and let the Hyatt know you're going on a Disney cruise so that all parties are on the same page.

On 8/6 we were loaded by 9:06am. Just checked the time stamp on my pic. We did not have a PAT at all when I checked in. We booked the Hyatt through DCL.

First come, first boarded.

No, I reserved on my own. My TA put in Hyatt for the pickup. Originally she had just put in airport and when I went to check in, it gave me a late PAT. She changed my pickup from MCO to the Hyatt and it changed the PAT to an earlier time with an earlier boarding group.

Yes. When we checked in after getting off the airplane the night before. They handed me a piece of paper that told us what to do. Then we handed that piece of paper to the DCL agent in the lobby as part of the luggage tracking.

Just make sure your reservation says that you are getting picked up from the Hyatt.

Here are two screenshots from the reservation confirmation email. The first one is showing NOT the Hyatt. The second one shows what it looks like if your pickup is the Hyatt (this is for an upcoming cruise). So if your reservation shows the Hyatt, you can take the bus from inside the lobby. If you have just the airport, you'll need to go down to the bus outside the airport.
