DCL question

I just found out that Disney is going to be sailing out of Galveston- less than an hour from me! We just passed ROFR on a contract and I was wondering how using points works with DCL. I know it is not the best use of points, but I am just wanting to evaluate our options. When are you eligible to book? Do you have to wait 7 months out? 11 months? Also, can you pay part with points and part cash? I appreciate the help

When was your resale submitted to DVC for ROFR? If it was after 3/20 you will not be able to use your points to book a cruise.

Cruises can be booked on points up to two years in advance of the sailing date if the cruise has been announced. If booked through DVC, you have to book at least one passenger on points. You can use either points or cash for the remaining passengers but can't mix points/cash for a single passenger. There is also a $95 transaction fee and additional restrictions would be placed on those points if the cruise was cancelled.
