DCL points 2007

When do you think the points will be announced for Disney Cruise Line for 2007. Because if you can book a cruise 11 months in advance if any cruises sail on January 1st they could technically be booked tomorrow, however, points haven't been announced. I want to do a cruise/WDW combo the first week of January next year, but I don't know what to expect!

In the past it's usually been mid to late March, I believe it was early April once in the past few years. I know several years ago they'd book the cruise at 11 months out even if the points table was not known. However, if they did, the member was locked in to the reservation even if there was a big increase in points. I haven't heard anything about this option the last couple of years so I don't know how they're handling it now.

Okay, I know I want to sail on the 3 night cruise that departs on January 4th. Last year this cruise was in value season. However, I would not want to book it and then be stuck if it somehow ends up being considered holiday season...man those points are high! At the same time I don't want to get locked out of this cruise. I don't know what to do!

We have booked a DC before and converted it over to points at a later date. If you know the date you want, you could put the deposit down to hold it. You may find that it is a better deal to pay cash and "rent" the points to pay for it.
