On another website I had read about DCL having a new flexible payment plan, it sounds like it is a new thing when booking. The article states that since Disney cruises are so expensive this would help in new bookings.
I wouldn’t use it as I do my own thing when paying for a cruise. Just wondering if anyone else saw this article or has seen the plan on the DCL website.

As far as I know, after paying the deposit, you can make payments until you pay off the remaining amount and you have until a certain point in time to finish making payments. As I work onboard and have no idea about payment and bookings I am not sure of any further information, sorry!

I have not seen the article but this is all I see on their site:

This sounds the same as it has always been; the only added benefit is maybe they automate payment requests on a schedule based on your desires? Edit: read the site, and no, doesn't sound like they do anything at all. Either way, PIF is the same, and all you'd really be doing is making incremental payments, which was always an option.

I haven't seen the article, but as PP mentions you are welcome to make any number of payments in any amount up until the PIF date. I suppose some folks may prefer a set schedule with a payment plan, but we've always been able to make our own.

They simply added a calculation tool to help you figure out how much you must pay per month until PIF to cover the total price of the cruise. They did not add an automated paiement service. As others stated, you always could pay your cruise in monthly instalments if you wished to do so, or any other frequency as long as you pay off the total amount by PIF date.

Get a Disney Visa and each monthly payment you make allows you to spread the payments for that segment out over 6 months no interest for each segment..

Exactly. Plus the 2%.
And then there's buying Disney Gift Cards at Target, same old "Trix are for DCL cruisers."

Still expensive; still worth it.
