My best friend and I are huge disney fans and DL vets (we live in Vegas). For her 26th birthday her bf, my bf, my best friend and myself are planning another disney trip, but are conflicted. We have never been to WDW and our original plan was to do 5 days at the parks (probably 2 at MK and then 1 day at the others). But, I've also entertained the idea of going on a disney cruise for her birthday as well and she has been agreeable. This would also be a first cruise for all of us as well. Because her birthday is in the first week of March, we would probably go on a cruise to the Bahamas. Due to cost and time, we would be unable to do a land and sea trip. Which one would you choose? Any help would be appreciated.

That's a toughie!

In my opinion, DCL's are great if you want the Disney magic but don't want to deal with the crowds, heat, lots of walking. Since you're going in March which can be crowded due to Spring Break, I may opt for the DCL considering it would be more relaxing.

However, WDW is always my favorite destination spot. Despite the crowds, heat, etc, there is nothing else like it.

I think it really boils down to the kind of experience you want - a chill, relaxing vacation or one with a little more work, but lots more magic involved?

Honestly, you can't go wrong with either! :thumbsup2

I enjoy both WDW and DCL and as much as I enjoy both very much they are very different. If you are both looking forward to enjoying the atmosphere of the parks and getting on rides then WDW should be your choice. If you want to still enjoy that Disney magic in a laid back environment hanging out by the pool and visiting some nice ports then the cruise should be your choice. Personally I would select the cruise.

My personal preference would be WDW because I'm really not that fond of cruises. That being said people I know that have gone on the cruise loved them, but for me there is nothing like spending time at the parks and resorts!
