This morning, DH was reminiscing with DS about our cruise last summer. He put in the old DCL promotional video and started getting teary, remembering what a nice time we had.

Not sure when we'll be able to go again, but the memories we have from our cruise are very powerful! (This also reminded me that I married the right guy ;) )

Does anyone else get teary watching the video/DVD? (Can't wait to get the new one!)

Are you kidding?? I cry when I hear the words Magic or Wonder even if it isn't when we are talking about Disney!! We watch the promotional video and several of our "home movies" on a daily basis, and I cry everytime. My DH thinks there is something wrong with me!!!

I truly feel that "Disney thing" gets into your soul. It's like those times spent there are about everything that is right in our crazy world.

Are you kidding? I'm a real crier - my DS's just know when something's going to make me cry. Seeing the ship for the first time as you're driving in to port, walking into the atrium for the first time....hearing the whistle blow! OK - I'm getting all teary right now! Ha! Everytime we dig out the DCL DVD, that music starts, then the waterworks start and my DS just automatically grabs a tissue for me!
I still cry walking down Main Street at Disneyland and we go often!

cried as we pulled away from the Magic two years ago.....it was
the saddest thing I've ever experienced. He is not an emotional boy but that was touching for the family - made mom cry too.

Oh yea, the tears come for almost anything Disney. I even teared up when seeing the Magic on According to Jim. My family thinks I am nuts. That's why it is so nice to have these boards.
Thankfully last week when the new DCL DVD came I was the only one home. They would have locked me up. HAHA

Reading these posts are getting me misty eyed. Oh, to hear that horn everytime I receive new e-mails!!! Maureen, I just sent you an e-mail telling you I was getting my lunch, now I had better get to it!!!

I get excited seeing anything DCL. I watch their commercials over & over - can't get enough of seeing the ship. Although we don't regularly watch Acc to Jim, my husb. & I made sure not to miss the DCL shows - we taped them & kept rewinding & pointing things out to each other.

We keep our DCL photo albums out & handy & look at them pretty often. (Make sure to 'share' them with guests, too - whether they want to see them or not ! :hyper: )

Very often, while I'm on the computer, when I hear the kids coming I jump to the website with the horn & play it - LOUD - & the kids are like, "O.k., Mom, enough already. You do that all the time."

Our family talks about the cruise a lot together. Fun, fun, special memories. The kids loved the cruise so much both times they went that we hope they carry on the tradition with theirs. That goes for WDW, too. (Moving to the Orlando area soon should help that!::yes:: )

Not much of a crier when watching the videos, but reading and responding to the motion sickness threads starts making me feel dizzy and light headed (DW says that's my normal condition)!!

I am definitely a crier... especially in movies!!!

Brother Bear, I was crying at a certain part (I won't say what for the people who haven't seen it)... not just one glistening tear, but bawling my eyes out!!!

LOTR2, when gandalf comes riding down the hill on his horse... I cried...

The ships whitsle... the list goes on!!

Just wanted to say that you're not the only one!

I'm so glad we are in good company.
I cry when I hear the words Magic or Wonder even if it isn't when we are talking about Disney!!
LOL!!!

That song gets to me every time, too! "Come with us to a world of fantasy..." sniff sniff!

Andy, I just stepped outside and heard something strange blowing on the ocean breeze from down the coast. It sounded like shrimply little voices crying, "Annnnnndeeeeee, we're waaaaiting for you!" Hmmm. Odd. :teeth:

There are definately things about DCL that make me cry. Such wonderful memories! I love the new DVD and the cruise video that a friend sent - they get me excited. I get a little misty eyed when I watch the ship leave on the web cams - wishing I was on board. I've been blessed with 5 wonderful cruises and have a 6th planned!

moinab,
I just wanted to say that your photo of your daughter is so cute!!!! She is just adorable and what a great shot on Castaway Cay! I've wanted to tell you so many times how beautiful I've found that photo to be so I thought I would use this thread to do so now!

I also get all excited about Disney and have wonderful Disney memories. I tell people that I know Mickey is just a person dressed up as a mouse but when you actually see the character, my heart speeds up and I'm yelling "there's Mickey!!!!" as loud as any kid. And seeing the ship as you come into the port is unforgettable!

When I'm feeling stressed, I think about walking along Main Street in the Magic Kingdom heading towards the castle. Remembering the magic atmosphere and the feeling on Main Street relaxes me in no time!

Have any of you seen the new 'Wishes' fireworks show at MK? We went in December and my DD and I cried during it! It is wonderful!

We also cried after the 'final farewell' on the Cruise! DH was back in the stateroom packing and I was SO sorry he missed it!

I am anxiously awaiting my DCL DVD, and am ready for another 'good cry'!
