I received my Disney Files today and opened it up to see that inside, on page 16 under the Dream caption, it says:

The SS Member Cruise 2011 moves for the first time to the new Disney Dream ship, pictured here under construction in Germany. The Member-exclusive voyage is scheduled to sail Sept. 18-22, 2011. Look for an invitation with booking details in the mail this fall.

So now you can ask the boss for those days off! Was this old news and I'm the only one who didn't know or am I really the first to post this? Either I'm totally cool... or totally lame.

Wonder if they will mention it at the member celebration on our Sept 26 Wonder cruise?? Have to wait and see. I know my wife is going to wanna go. We did the Member Cruise in 2008 and loved it...so we will see

They announced it that long ago and yet we still don't have costs or anything? Is it usually more or fewer points than the same 4-night cruises on either side -- according to the 2011 point chart? Can members who used up their points book with cash (I'd imagine that's true, but would rather ask).

From what I've seen on the price list for this years members cruise it's quite a bit more expensive than the regular cruises but apparently they also have special guests onboard etc.

The member cruise can be booked either with points or cash, but the full price will be charged to your credit card at the moment of booking! However, I was told that you can use several credit cards, if, for example you are cruising with friends and don't want to put everything on your own card.

Hopefully, the prices and booking date are published soon.
