So you didn't make Sean buy the lens you had on the Med? I nominate you to be official ships photographer, she takes WONDERFUL pictures!!!!!

Hmmmmm.....$1600 to purchase or less than $150 to rent for a few weeks? As much as I love that lens, I think the money is better spent on a trip to Alaska!

Driving from Wisconsin? Whew! That's a trip and a half! I've never been to Glacier, but I've heard it's spectacular!

I'll think about the fish extenders and let you know. I didn't do them last cruise, as I didn't want to have to worry about luggage space (did the Med last summer). We have more room, this time....It almost feels like this is such a short time to plan a cruise; last time we booked 22 months in advance, and now the final payment is 5 months away

I've been to Alaska before, but it was up to Anchorage and surrounding areas. I'm convinced that Denali does not exist...the clouds never lifted so that we could see it! We were able to get to a glacier or two, but I'm excited to be able to sit there and watch them go by. I've been thinking for the past 2 days about what kind of camera lens I'm going to rent to get spectacular pics!!

Welcome! I am Leisha Traveling with DH Tom and various family members and friends. You an DH will get along fine because he has spent a fortune on new lens for this trip for his camera. I have to say I am not complaining to much because our first grandchild was born about 2 weeks ago and he has gotten some great pictures. Of course she is the most beutiful baby ever.

Im Dan my DW is Nancy we are retired. This will be our 6th Disney Cruise and most of them have been with a gorup of special friends we have been cruising with the past few years. Besides Nancy and I there will be Leisha and Tom and Joanne and Roger. We all just returned from the Western Carabbean and last year we did the Eastern.We are a fun bunch.

Thanks for the welcome! I haven't gotten thru all the pages yet, but it did strike me that there was a group of you that seemed to have been on a few cruises together! Jel0551, Cliffside, and I were all strangers prior to the Med cruise and were remarking on how we became such good friends! There is one more family that we're doing some arm-twisting on to join us! My DH didn't understand these boards until after the cruise, but now frequently asks for updates!

Well, the other family we were arm-twisting has finally succumbed to our pressure, so our group of 10 just grew by 4 more!!!! We're all so excited to be cruising together again!!!!!

I can not believe you've all been here without me. DH has been posting and not telling me until now.....need to put a stop to that......I'm just finished taking all the twist marks off my arms.....boy...you guys really knew how to handle that one...convince the uncontrollable spender that he wanted to go (even if he couldn't go concierge) and eventually you knew I had to follow suit. How did you all get to know me so well in such a short time? I have life long friends that haven't figured out how to manipulate me like that.

I have missed the boards....can't really get into that 2012 one.....but all my "girls" are here...so now I feel like I'm home again. Told the kids, it was almost like when I told them about the Med....Sam was like really ....really and who's coming...is Brandon coming? How about Shari? Ashleigh? Oh my gosh I can't believe it....it was pretty funny.

The party can start now....I know we're the newest but Kim, Lori, Susan and I know how to have fun here....thanks for having us....

What kind of camera does your DH have?

I will have to ask him I know it is a Nikon but not sure of the rest of it. I have to say it takes great pictures. I almost feel bad about giving him a hard time about the price of the camera and accessories. He got a new lens this week. We had Aidan last night and he must have taken 100 pictures of her.
