Hello! We just returned from a 2nd wonderful 4 night cruise on the Dream. We rebooked on board, but I think we'd like to try something different next time. We're a family of 4: me, DH, and twins DS's (now 13). One of our sons has cerebral palsy and uses a walker/wheelchair. A handicapped accessible stateroom is a must for us, as is a verandah stateroom, so we've been limited in choice because of availability before.
I've wondered about the Magic and the Wonder, but I also realize that we know it all works for us on the Dream, so should be fine on the Fantasy as well. We did more (i.e. excursion on CC, actually got off the boat in Nassau etc) and it enhanced our trip even more.
When I think about a future cruise, I'd like to know that the itinerary can include excursions that are accessible and ports that are relatively accessible-friendly. Does anyone have any advice? We're open to anything, including the Med in 2013, if we can get the dates and staterooms to work. I suspect it'll be the Caribbean, though. And another question please...how do I know which, if any, ports require tendering rather than the brilliance of rolling down the gangway?
(FYI, I also posted this on the Cruise thread to ask the gang over there.)
Many thanks!
