I could not find an exhaustive list so hence this post.
When we was last on a DCL Cruise we breezed thru the free 50Mb Connect@Sea data package and also additional paid plan....... so on my next cruise I want to minimize my data usage on board .
In research I've come up with the following list for Android users.
Before you get on update all applications (or at least ones you plan to use) and install the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Anyone else got other tips?
Happy to add those (and any iPhone) to this 1st post for others to easily find.

- Turn On Airplane mode and then Turn On WiFi and select the DCL Guest WiFi
- On the WiFi SSID’s Advanced Settings change Metered to Treat as metered
- In Google Play Store change Auto-update apps to Don’t auto-update apps
- In other App stores like Samsung Galaxy Store change Auto-update apps to Never
- Settings --> Accounts and Backups --> Accounts --> Scroll to bottom and turn Off Auto sync data
- Settings --> Accounts and Backups --> Google account --> Back up my date turn Off
- Specific Applications
- Facebook --> Settings & Privacy --> Data Saver turn On
- Twitter --> Settings and Privacy --> Data usage --> Data Saver turn On
- WhatsApp --> Settings --> Data and storage usage --> Uncheck all Media auto-download options
Anyone else got other tips?
