DCL Brides - Post your ceremony decor/floral pics!

I am trying to get ideas for my VR on deck 7. I am hoping to add some floral or decor onto it, so it is not just plain. But I have no idea what to ask for, or what it even really looks like. Can you ladies post pics for me of what you had?

My daughter is also having her Wedding on Deck 7 in November 2009. I have seen pictures on here of the white bows they hang. I had asked DD if I could make bows in another color and have them hang them instead of the white. She keeps telling me to not spend the $$ on things like that, but I still think it would look nice to add a bit of her color there. I am not sure what they do and do not allow you to add to it.

I am ordering her a different boquet for the ceremony since she originally wanted blue hydrengas I have found a florist to do that and deliver them to the ship so she will have the flowers she wanted for her boquet. She is so laid back about the wedding it is allmost funny, she says I am more worried about it than she is, it is nice that Disney just does it and I am glad she is not a "bridezilla" but I do want her to have a few "extras" if she would like them.....Hope you can get the info you are looking for.

We didn't have our cake on deck, or they would have had it on one of these tables..but you can see that maybe you could order flowers for the tables.
I didn't think of it, or I would have had the Palo flowers here and just moved them up later

Thanks for the pics! The table looks nice and I am all for the white bows - they make me think of Arielle. I just want some flowers around where we will be standing for the ceremony. Cathy said they don't do arches or anything like that. This is supposed to be fairtale weddings right? I want more flowers! - My bridezilla side is coming out!

they do have an arch type thing in the lounge..but I think anything would fall over in the wind outside

I didn't think that an arch would work, but maybe some smaller arrangements - close to the ground, but not so low that you can't see them. There must be other brides that have requested this. I wonder if I can make something and have them set it out.
I want to make a couple of mickey kissing balls and hang them on the chairs in the front rows.

i don't think there was a whole lot of DCL brides until the past year or so

the problem I see with decorations, is having someone set them up. We had to run to PALO to set up the flowers on the table..it never occured to me to do something about the flowers on the deck

I also don't know how early they set up the deck..I know that they pressure cleaned the deck sometime after I went to get ready because it wasn't done at 3pm when I looked

Someone in charge of the wedding stuff should be able to set it up right?
Cathy emailed me these pics today. They are great! I love the rose petals and the greenery - although it is probably more $$ than I am willing to spend. I still want some arrangements down by where we stand though.

I've been wracking my brain about this subject lately myself. I'm not really a flower person. I'm not a huge fan of the bows either. But I like those photos... hmmm... Well what I really love is all forms of lighting/lanterns etc. But I'm assuming they wont string lights across the deck for me

Wow those pics are really pretty!!

Tanya, i would think as the VR is in DEC, it should be easy to have some of the greenery around the ship added to the bows. If you could swing it....white twinkle lights would look nice too! I think if it's in with the greenery and bows, the light should show up!

And the rose petals next to the aisle are a very nice touch! I like that!

I probably won't have the option of adding anything to my beach ceremony. Boo! Oh well, i'm working on extra floral for the dinner in Palo.

Make sure Cathy emails the ship about the bunting..I know they had that several years ago, but I haven't seen it in a Deck wedding recently

You should ask!! The more I ask and bug them about stuff, the more likely I am to get it. You never know.

yes..bunting is the swag between the bows..it was in the original wedding site photos (where those pictures you posted are from) but I haven't seen those for at least 2 years

there is a Floral Cake Topper for $50 on my kit..but that was actors because the same bride and groom were shown at the WP in a voice over about the weddings
