What attractions are a not to be missed 1 at this park? Also, where are the best places to eat at this park? Thanks, Chip.

Chip -

Do NOT miss the Aladdin show! It is located in the Hollywood Backlot area and you want to get free tickets ahead of time. Get them as soon as you get to the park.

Other attractions to not miss:
Soarin' over California
Grizzly River Run
California Screamin!

Not sure on all the food choices, I seem to eat at Taste Pilot's Grill all the time. Ribs, Chicken and Burgers.

Enjoy your trip!
Diane

Goofydiane, where do you get the tickets for Aladdin? Thanks!

Personally, I didn't like Aladdin. My daughters (2&4) do though, so I still get stuck going to see it sometimes.

We like all three rides Goofy mentioned (Soarin, Grizzly, and Screamin), as well as the Sun Wheel, and Mulhulland Madness. As far as attractions, my kids LOVE the Boudin Bakery, the Tortilla factory, and Disney Animation. I think Golden Dreams is great.

As far as food...when we are in Orange county (we live in L.A.) we make a special trip to DLR JUST for the corn chowder at Boudin Bakery :D

To get tickets, head to the left when you enter the park and go directly to the Hyperion Theatre. There are cast members giving out tickets in front of the Theatre. They do not count as a fast pass. The theatre seats 1899 and they give out approximately 1200 tickets per show and seat on a first come, first seat basis.

I didn't like the show the first time I saw it, I've seen it about 30 times now and I love it and can't wait to go back again this afternoon.

IMO, Soarin' is one of the best attractions at DL or WDW. I wish it was longer! DW doesn't like heights, coasters, etc., but loved Soarin'. Alladin is a great show also.

As for food, I can't remember the name of the place, but they had soup in bread bowls-Yummy!(bowl & all!)

In addition to what has already been mentioned, you don't want to miss the animation building in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot. You can easily spend a half hour in the lobby. Truly a special sight.

With food, DCA's food is generally MUCH better than DL's. Taste Pilot's has great Burgers. There's also a little place at the Grand Californian that is completely overlooked that has good food. It's called White Water Snacks. If you exit DCA using the Grand Californian exit, you turn left and walk about 10 yards and you're there. Great food, great price and a lot less hustle and bustle than being inside the parks.

This is a great character meal and the prices are very reasonable--you will not go away hungry. When I was there about a month ago, I had salad, fish and chips, desert, bread and drink for $17.99 and sat outside in front of the water looking out at california screamin and the ferris wheel. the characters that day were chip and dale, pluto, and goofy. great fun for hubby and i!

We also love Taste Pilots Grill!

DO NOT MISS ALLADIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, Millionaire is fun and if you have little ones, bugs land

You will love the park!
