I'm taking my girls to DCA this Monday. We've never been but I think they will like the shows and if we can last, the parade and I need the walking. :)

My question is what rides can we do with 1 adult and 3 3 y/os? At DLR they really like the trains, boats, carousel, and the tea cups as well as running around Toon Town. They also love Dumbo, but we can't do that when it is just us.

TIA!

We just got back from a trip with 3 adults, a 3yr. old and a 1yr. old. Honestly, we didn't find much at DCA for the kiddos apart from Flik's Fun Fair (which had some great kiddie-sized rides), King Triton's Carousel, Toy Story Mania (although I'm not sure that will work with 3 kids and 2 adults), Turtle Talk With Crush, and I'm forgetting what the last ride was....I'll try and remember that one but I know there was one more.

Be sure to see Playhouse Disney Live on Stage - the kids loved that! I didn't get to see the Aladdin show (back at the hotel with a napping boy), but the others said it was amazing and their 3 yr. old was mesmerized.

Have fun!

Thanks! Playhouse Live was actually what made me decide to go. I figure if they are bored we can go to DLR. I suspect we'll spend a lot of time at the water and they also like The Muppets so maybe we'll see that one, too.

Just FYI, there's a ton of construction at DCA right now, so there's a lot blocked off and the lake is drained. It wasn't too bad, especially since there weren't a lot of people there so it was still easy to get around. Our kiddos liked watching what construction work they could see, but it did look a bit odd.

I've seen the muppets at WDW, but we ended up skipping it here because the kids were getting tired and fussy. We also skipped It's Tough to Be a Bug because the 3 yr. old is scared of Hopper.

The Pixar Play Parade was very fun, and we also caught parts of the HSM3 show. The kids like all the music and dancing, and even my 1yr. old DS was bouncing and swaying to the music.

All in all, it was a nice, leisurely sort of stroll through DCA, and there was just enough to keep us busy but not so much that we felt frantic trying to see everything.

Oh, and for Playhouse Disney, try to get there at least 15 min. early to get a good spot on the floor for the show.

OH! And the other ride we went on was the Monsters Inc. one, and the kids loved it.

Have fun! :goodvibes

My 2 yr old loved the Muppet 3D movie....I wasn't sure we'd be able to keep the glasses on her, but once the show started she sat still & watched with the biggest smile!!!
Aladdin is the bomb!!! What a production & no seat is bad!!
Disney Animation Bldg has lots of different activites thru-out & Turtle Talk with Crush.....they'd love this!
Monster's inc is a fun little ride & I hear Toy Story Mania is a lot of fun (haven't seen this one myself yet....8 more days I will!!)
Flik's Fun Faire has a few rides just for kids (adults welcome to ride) & areas to discover & play in water features.
Playhouse Disney is a must every trip for us. Lines can get long quick, but really, we've sat on the side & near the back & my children never complained about not being able to see. They get up & dance & have a great time.

I hope you have a super day at DCA!!! Can't wait to hear how things went!!! :cool1:
