DCA unofficial opening time?

We are staying at DGC next month but our daughter and her husband are staying offsite.
We will be able to get in the parks an hour early but if the opening time is say for example 10 am, when will our daughter and her husband be able to get in? I think I read somewhere that the park opens a little earlier than the posted time. I guess what I'm asking is do they let people in earlier than the posted time?

Before June 15th, they let people in a little earlier. But with Early Entry at DCA, I believe the soft opening practices have stopped.

They may let them in a half hour early for rope drop, but they will be limited to Buena Vista Street until the park officially opens.
