DCA Preview now online

Sorry.
I've Been.

Several times.

I like the San Diego area.
And San Fran and environs was nice.

I 'm totally underwhelmed with the LA area.

Can't belive I'm saying this, but I'm with you Wally!! :scared1: Not a fan of LA. I LOVE northern CA. San Fran, Yosemite, Nappa

For anyone who's curious about the progress of the rebuilding of DCA or just monthly pictures of Disneyland, over at DisneyGeek, he takes tons of pictures every two weeks and also has a section with a lot more pictures of the construction progress.

The pictures of the lagoon are amazing to see how HUGE the stage is for World of Color. They're saying it's the largest show Disney has ever done. They're recreating the animation technique of multiple planes for filming. There will be 50 feet high, 380 feet wide water screens, multiple ones in front of one another, recreating scenes from animated films. 200 foot high Bellagio type fountains and even fire whips that can change to any color as well.

This thing is going to be crazy.

I definitely want to get back out there for the World of Color when it's running. I watched the construction for quite a while during my trip and I think it's going to be amazing.

Wally, gotta agree with ya on the LA thing, not my style at all!

Zman and M4Travels, do you guys ever venture a bit north for some of that Knott's Chicken Dinner? Well worth the trip IMO! :thumbsup2

Knott's as in Knott's Berry Farm?

As in Mrs. Knott's Fried Chicken dinner, with mashed taters, biscuits, and Boysenberry Lemonade!

Yep, that be the place!

I'll take L.A. over the Upper Peninsula of Michigan any day! HAD to get out of there as I absolutely hated the snow and cold. Are there better places? Oh, yeah, but hubby is ensconced in the inner workings of the superior court for L.A. County and we're not moving anytime soon. He is thinking of retiring to Ecuador though...:scared1:

I've only been to Mrs. Knott's once during my tenure out here. Marc and his family used to visit it regularly when he was a youngster many, ummmm, years ago. I remember that it was quite tasty and the stewed rhubarb that was served with it was REALLY good!

Hmmmmm........may just have to give it a go next week when we're back down that way!

We are gonna need food porn on that visit! :cool1:

(Well at least I would appreciate it!)

And ya, LA does have the Upper beat! (Pronounced YOU per!)
