Our first visit to DCA will be this coming Monday Sept 18. It is an emh day and we are staying offsite. How much will our touring be affected by this? I would never go to an emh park at WDW but I'm hoping that crowds won't be an issue on a Monday in late Sept. We could switch but then our schedule would be Su-DL, Mo-DL, Tu-DCA then the Halloween party on Wed our last day. What would you do? I was kind of hoping to do DL, DCA, DL, party......

I'd start at DCA on Monday if it fits your schedule. Do you have park hoppers? I don't think the EMH will affect you.

We don't but may add them for our Tues. I'm also considering upgrading our 3 day tickets to 5 day. This way we could go to DL on our arrival night for few hours just to soak up the atmosphere and use another days ticket for the morning of the party at DCA. So our schedule would be Sat night-few hrs in DL, Su-DL, Mo-DCA, Tu- DL, Wed- DCA 10-1 then Halloween party at DL. Is this too much park time? This would actually be cheaper than adding a park hopper. Funny, I read a lot of advice that DLR didn't necessitate advanced planning like WDW so I didn't. Now , 36 hrs before we fly out, I'm stressing a bit. To be fair, our plans to go to San Diego on our arrival fell through which got me thinking.....

The first hour or two will be busier than they'd otherwise be, but after that it doesn't matter too much.

EHM at DCA is less impactful than MM/EMH over at DL because there are far fewer people involved.

Just know that the headliners will already have lines when you arrive, and make sure you grab a FP immediately.

Also, DL-DL-DCA-party isn't a terrible schedule. It IS nice to enter the non-early entry park when possible. You can always hit DCA for a couple of hours before the party on your party ticket... I might do that if you're only doing one DCA day.

We are always in the parks at least 6 days. So no. There's no such thing as too much park time IMO. HAHA!

Hey, we're going on the same days! We're planning Sun- DL, Mon- DL, Tues- DCA (but will probably hit EMH at DL first), Wed- DL AM/Party PM. We'll also probably pop over to DCA on other days too, as we have hoppers, but Tues AM is designated for DCA. There's just not much in DCA that looks to be of interest to us (only planning on RSR, CS, TSMM, Mermaid).

I would do DL, DL, DCA, Party. With the off season the parks don't open until 10:00 and I found the morning crowds much larger than when I go when parks open at say 8:00. We were there this week (Sun-Wed).
