DCA More popular than DL?

Looking at Touring plans, I noticed that beginning in late August DCA is routinely given a higher attendance prediction than Disneyland itself. Does anyone know why this is?
It seems to last from very late in Aug. to the heart of the XMAS season. Maybe there are fewer kids during this time and adults are favoring DCA?
I look forward to hearing peoples opinions about this!

My first inclination is to say "it's Touring Plans" so it should be taken with a grain of salt. They've been having trouble with the DL predictions since the start of the 60th and the introduction of demand pricing for 1-day tickets (basically, the past was no longer a very good indicator for the future), so perhaps they're still trying to figure out how to predict DL crowds and they're calculations are erring on the low side for DL.

I'd be surprised if that were true/accurate. I like DL far better than CA and I've heard others say the same. In fact, in the last 8-10 times that I've visited, I've skipped CA. YMMV, however.

what does touring plans base their numbers on? If it actual number of people in the park DCA could potentially have a higher number of guests in the park, I guess. The larger walkways and more spread open feel of DCA could "dilute" more people.
If it goes by wait times, I can't imagine DCA ever having s higher touring plan number. The only ride usually ever above 60 minutes is RSR and very rarely TOT. CS has such an efficient loading and a high capacity train I've never seen it about 45minutes.
While DL, (just yesterday) had BTM at 45, SM, HSM, IJ and Star Tours ar 60-90minutes. Pirates was at 30-45, HM and Peter Pan was 30-60min....etc!!!!

no way. disneyland is waaaay better. I Love DCA but it will never compare to Disneyland. When we have gone DCA is never as packed as Disneyland. Yes its packed but for some reason i feel like i have more room to walk at DCA than Disneyland

TP bases their figures on wait times, but I don't know if those numbers are based on the same metric. In other words, a "7" at DL may not correspond with the same wait times as a "7" at DCA.

TouringPlans also updated their predictions a LOT in the 2 months or so leading up to our trip last Fall...so I would expect the Fall predictions to change quite a bit between now and then.

I guess it's possible, like an optical illusion or something, but in my experience, DL is always the more crowded park, especially during all the 60th anniversary celebrations. Most people who buy one day, one park tickets, do so for Disneyland. So, unless everyone with multi-day or hopper passes is going to DCA, I'd guess Touring Plans is wrong. I typically get my crowd predictions from elsewhere.

I love DCA but I also find it hard to believe it's more popular. That can't be accurate. People often say they're only visiting Disneyland (time/money constraints) but never ever do you hear they're only visiting DCA.

Maybe touring plans calculate crowds differently between the parks: so a 6 at DCA just means more crowded than a 5 day at DCA, and can't be compared against a 6 at DL.
