:confused3 Ok, This will be our first trip to DL and we have always loved the party's at WDW for Halloween.

At MNSSHP we can enter the parks that day after 4pm with our party tickets and they give us an armband. :goodvibes
Does this also stand true at DCA party? Can we get in early with our party tickets the day of the party rather than waiting till 7:30????:rolleyes1

How crowded are the DL parties??? How bad would a Friday night be? We are looking at going on Friday Oct 16th????

We attended the WDW party on Halloween night back in 2003 and it was SOLD OUT!!! I can not imagine it being any worse than that and we had a great time.:thumbsup2

Thanks for any info.

Michelle

I can answer the first part of your question. At DCA, the opening time is the actual opening time for the party. There is no early entrance like at WDW. They close DCA early and then need the park completely cleared for a couple hours while they set up for the party.

As for your crowded question:

The streets of DCA are very wide, and are much wider than the streets in MK. Because of this, you will find that the Halloween party in DCA is crowded - but not as crowded as the one in MK.

I went on a friday last year and its not so much crowded halfway through the night, almost every ride we went on we only had to wait about 15-20 (with the exception of TSMM because it was an hour wait), and the wait for candy was about 5 minutes depending on the area. Around the Hollywood backlot, the lines took longer, but it was fun to see all the characters dancing with people in the different areas.

Based on how people have reacted to WDW's Trick or Treat Party as opposed to DCA's party, I think you will get a little bit disappointed because its not as grand. So I say, don't have your expectations too high and just enjoy it for what it is :) I hope that helps!

I've been to both. Not nearly as grand as WDW. No parade and no fireworks which are the 2 things I like about MNSSHP.

The candy stations were more fun with better candy at DCA. It seemed crowded but the ride lines were great. It just seemed like people were everywhere and that it was hard to move (way worse then any of the days we went to DCA). I think it was just congestion due to the candy and what not though.

The price is about 1/2 of what it is at WDW so that was a plus. I am not sure that I would do it again but it was fun to do once. With having said that though it will take alot to get me to do MNSSHP again at close to $50 a ticket.
