DCA Entrance Question

I hope this makes sense.... My sis-in-law is going for the first time at the end of this month and I've been working on an itinerary for her. I thought I read that the DCA entrance would be closed. Is that right? If so, how do I explain how they get in? Or is it still in the same general vicinity as the normal entrance?

I believe you still go through the turnstiles, you are then just directed to re-route through the back of soarin'. it's all clearly marked by construction walls, just follow the path and the rest of the people!

We were there on Monday (Labor Day) and used the rerouted entrance for the first time. IMHO I don't like it but I know it is necessary. I don't like the feeling of the walls being so close. Too closed in. Hope they come down soon.

I know! I so hate those walls. I was so happy when they came down by Little Mermaid-and now they are back. When we got there at opening on Monday it was pretty tight going through. I can't imagine what it's like after WoC is over and everyone is exiting! I think from now on if we are leaving after exiting DCA we will use the GC exit-but shhhh! don't tell anyone.

I haven't seen pictures of this yet, but had read many time that as WoC ends they would open the gates into DTD, so you go strait out.

The one thing I like about the new entry path is, it's narrow all the way to the pier. Instead of it being wide going in and then crowded going around Grizzly Peak like it was all summer before opening up again. I didn't like the fast, slow, fast with the bottleneck. While narrow at least it's consistent.

Plus they prettied up the new entrance area which was a surprise to many when they saw how much care they took. Little planted areas and spots for snack carts is much better than a hallway of walls.
