DCA at 9?

Has anybody been to DCA on a day where it opened at 9 yet? I know it started opening earlier this past weekend and continues through this week. I'm just curious about opening procedures. Were all of the rides open at 9? Was Soarin open at 8:30?

I was there yesterday! It opened at 9. Not sure about Soarin, we walked in at 8:45 and walked directly over by Bugs and they had a rope up. At 9 they dropped the rope and we rushed over to TSMM. Not bad at all. EVERYTHING opened at 9. There were a few people waiting by the rope area for TOT.

We went on TSMM, ate breakfast and then walked over to TOT, got a FP, went on Monsters, went back and waiting for TOT for about 5 min, went back with our FP on TOT all by 11:15 . It was pretty awesome!

I am going to venture to say that because both parks opened at 9, DCA was not as crowded as when it opens at 10, when DL opens at 9!

Unless it is a special event (sometimes for people staying at GCH), the ropes to each land drop at the time the park opens. They will let you in the park before, but only to Sunshine Plaza and up to right before Grizzly River Run.

ETA: I just remembered that sometimes Soarin' would open at 1/2 hour to 15 minutes before the ropes dropped This may only be during peak seasons tho, not sure.

Yes, this has been common knowledge around here for a while. My question was directed specifically at DCA being open at 9AM on some mornings now, as in the past DCA has always opened at 10AM with them letting people in for just Soarin starting at 9:30. Since the 9AM opening is new, I was wondering about the procedures, whether or not they are the same as the 10AM procedures.

My mistake. Just trying to help out with what I know. As you can see I am new to the board. I thought you were asking if Soarin opens early in general and if there were other rides that did the same. Must have misunderstood. Sorry I did not help you.

they are doing some testing with the WoC issues...

THey are suppose to start having early entry for DCA as well... hence 8:00 park opens to EE for DCA....
