Folks, please remember you can request up to 6 tickets. if you have extra tickets, please post in this thread AP holders, do you need tickets to the DCA AP preview on June 11th? so you can help others who did not win see the preview.

In the rules it says they are sending out 10,500 invitations, so doing the math there are about 900,000 APers? The odds are pretty bad. But better than the lottery I would imagine.

It states that winners may attend with up to 5 guests(must also be AP holders)....so the odds are a BIT better.

But not all of these 900,000 passholders will enter the sweepstakes either, so your odds just go a little bit better ;-)

When I first entered the AP sweepstakes/contest a couple of hours ago, I pondered some different scenarios and thought about it. I was going to request a total of 2 people at whichever time to increase my chances of getting in, but then I decided to ask for the maximum (6) - specifically so that if I happen to get into a time slot that someone else wants and does not get, I can help them out. I also requested 2 of the time windows instead of only one. I did not ask for the nighttime time frame.

I may get nothing and if so, it will be fine. But if I do, at least I can help someone else (hopefully)! I will wait and see which of my DIS friends end up with which time slots - if any - and then figure out what to do after that.

OK, it's official. DH, DS and I are crazy! In the event that we just might win this preview contest, I have booked airfare (we can cancel because we booked with Southwest points), a rental car, and hotel. We're flying in to San Diego and driving up because, at this late date, it's the lowest airfare I could find. I'm calling tomorrow to set up boarding for our dog. Then we wait. June 4 or 5 we see if we're lucky. If so, we are all set for a whirlwind trip. If not, we cancel it all and enjoy Cars Land and Buena Vista street on our next official Disneyland vacation in 2013. Crossing our giant Mickey Mouse fingers that all our craziness ends up being a once in a lifetime whim that becomes reality.
